Personally, I think that Destiny (at its current state) would be massively broken by trading. I just want to see why others think trading would break the game.

The only way trading wouldn't invite black market third party traders would be to only allow trading rewards from like nightfall right after the game at the rewards screen.

1 ReplyAdd 3 more character classes, a better skill set to gear, and then trading may become viable.

Because all of the special little snowflakes will be sad.

I just don't think it's even needed. Not enough items in game. People need to stop crying about getting a titan helm while playing a warlock. Also players will find a way to exploit it. You'll either have 1000 gjallahorns or RMT

10 RepliesDon't you mean "should" instead of should not? I'd like it because I could trade something I don't want and get something I do want and vise versa with the other person. It's just that simple. Why does my friend get a suros from the nightfall when he already had one in his hands yet I'm forced to pick up the scraps and keep searching? The issue (and many others like that one) would be solved if trading was a thing.

I don't mind guns for guns or items for items. But what i don't like is glimmer for items/guns.

I say like a Christmas list you check off a an exotic you want & you'll have a higher chance of getting it & will in the next few weeks if possible trade in so many motes or idk but I don't think trading should happen if you grind hard enough if you don't or can't then give the price page I finally received my last exotic gun thunderlord last night took a while!

1 ReplyScrew trading, I would like to re-roll a single perk on my legendaries for 5 motes of light and 3000 glimmer at the Gunsmith.
-
4 RepliesThe 1%(farmers) will control the 99%(community). There are ALWAYS people who have enough time and resources to collect EVERY, let's say Gjallarhorn, and control the price. They can control wether it'll cost 5$ or 50$. Anyone who thinks this can't happen obviously has never played MMOs, MMORPGS or whatever games. Do I have a point or no?
-
The only form of trading should be at the end of loot rolls a screen should pop up and from there you could trade the item you just received with another item someone else just received. My favorite concept that I've posted about before is that they should implement a need/greed system like wow. So when u play with friends you should be able to get the stuff u want when it actually drops, and you get to get pissed off at trolls who need everything lol.
-
Because anyone needs something to trade. Probably doesn't have anything I need
-
7 RepliesNo trading but a smarter RNG, maybe.
-
1 trade per month, only within the clan, must be a clan member for at least 1 month
-
1 ReplyI think there should be a black market to sell your items for motes/coins/glimmer
-
1 ReplyEdited by HuckleberyFN2187: 2/19/2015 4:53:12 PMThe only trading that needs to be in Destiny is the ability to trade ascendant material for radiant materials that way I can be a 32 ha ha. But for reals though, an exchange rate of say 10 ascendant for one radiant wouldn't be too bad.
-
Imagine all those China farmers coming to the tower sending you friend requests just so you can find out that they want nothing but your real money for the Gjallarhorn in exchange.
-
Because having a trading system would break the game in how Bungie wants it to be played - aka Grinding and more grinding.
-
Because everyone would have everything they want and there's no fun to the game anymore
-
2 RepliesIt would end up like borderlands 2. Duplicating gun glitch and just bs. I say just leave it like it is. If I could just trade and get the suros I want, I would have no reason to play until the next dlc.

Fireteam trading Can only trade what you had on you or was rewarded for the game for up to one hour after the game ends. In each trade you can either trade something you had on you prior to the mission for something they were rewarded. Either way a reward has to be in the trade, you can't straight up walk in with 6 gjallarhorn and give them out. Also you must trade an item of equal or higher rarity. No legendary for exotic.

Will Gold Trim Rune armor for 1k Coins.
-
Paypal. (Real world trading)
-
1 ReplyFor everyone saying it will become pay to win/pay for armor weapons etc if Bungie makes it exotic for exotic that won't be a thing because while some exotics might be worth more you still have to put up something of equal quality

I think trading would be awful. Some system of like a "raid loan" would be interesting to me. If you were in a fire team, you could loan gear to other people in the fireteam and as soon as either left the fireteam, the item would return to its owner. That way if you're running the sword, for example, someone else could utilize your fully upgraded Gjallarhorn.
