Personally, I think that Destiny (at its current state) would be massively broken by trading. I just want to see why others think trading would break the game.

1st: trade system that comes only on the weekend 2nd: Don't Allow raid gear or exotics to be sold 3rd: Allow exotic shards and upgrade mats to be sold 4th: add a price to it, like five thousand glimmer. 5th: Only allow equal quality gear to be traded between each other 6th: Don't allow event items to be sold whether it's Iron Banner or Queens Wrath I feel if Destiny made trading balanced and good, then it would work. I really Want a Venation III so I would trade any of my legendaries for it. Bump this? ;)

Could end every one of these arguments by making it one trade per week and only unused items with the same people that were with you on the raid or story

2 RepliesBasically, we would need to expand the weapons and armor to be a gigantic selection. We could also have skins counter strike style to make the weapons more rare or less so. I think it'd be a better idea to say "trading dragon's blood Thorn" instead of "trading Thorn" it would add more variety to the game. It's how we could fix the identical armor problem too, simply add skins to create variety. For example, regular 32 hunter gear is cool, but we see it all the time. The names could stay, but imagine having a little skin name below it, and the skin could add more bone to the design or add a graphic design to the shoulder or something. It'd add more variety, with people trading to find that "one" piece of armor to complete their look.

1 ReplyEdited by JoebAKL: 2/20/2015 1:40:10 AMIf anything it should be public bidding Then it will stop farming bots and real life trading But the glimmer cap will need to be raised 999,999 would be the easiest cap to work with
-
4 RepliesChinese sweatshops would set up bots to do strikes and then sell Ghorn for 50-100 dollars and game would be pay to win.
-
Because it's a technically super complex feature that will take dev time away from addressing more fundamental gameplay concerns. The game is not really designed around it now in season 1 ( I think you could make the case vanilla was ) so we don't need it.
-
Real money transactions, fraud, hacking, entitlement explosion (anyone who ever raided in WoW will know).
-
Because there is not enough items to trade that would be worthwhile. Maybe after a few DLC's worth of legendary and exotics sure
-
2 RepliesOr they could do what other mmos do and implement an auction house along with an increased glimmer cap or no cap
-
If there were more options, trading would be viable. For instance if exotics were not all the same. Even more exotics that are all the same stats. Theres just not enough for trading to be viable, there would be no economy to support a trading system.

1 Reply"PayPal me 10 bucks and I'll give you a gjallahorn" And if it's forced equal trade,(exotic for exotic) "Give me 10 bucks and your nlb and I'll give you ghorn "
-
Someone would eventually find a way to trade weapons without losing them, making duplicates of a certain gun, ruining the reason to complete raids, nightfalls, strikes, and making it completely useless to earn strange coins. It would be cool if you had to actually pay or do something for the other person for the weapon that you wanted.
-
So you think this game would be broken with trading .. So aren't you already convinced? Am I missing something?
-
Gjallarhorns will immediately be up on eBay and those with money will have it and you won't.
-
2 RepliesMarket ruined by gold farmers as soon as trading happens.
-
Not enough things to trade, everyone would have everything
-
Marshall for vex Cheating by trading extras for crap
-
2 RepliesBecause of you do the game would be that much better...so begin the pawning and haggling of the vex!
-
Not enough items to trade.
-
Pay to win. Screw that. /thread

As an RPG and MMO gamer... There is so many reasons it's not even funny when you actually experience it all. The common problem has been the greedy nature of people.
-
1 ReplyI got 5 gjallarhorns and 7 vex mythoclast, not to mention loads of spare raid gear and weapons and exotics, I would b giving them to some noobs low leveled scrubs So basically u would b going in to levels with noobs that don't have a clue
-
It's not a reason to NOT have trading but I can tell you for sure that most people will be asking for a Gjallarhorn trade. On top of that, the people with the Gjallarhorn would only trade for an absurd amount of materials, glimmer, exotic shards, ect... For example: "Looking to trade Gjallarhorn. 30 exotic Shards, 50 Radiant Shards, 95 Ascendant Energy, 200 helium, spirit bloom, and relic iron. Serious Inquiries only, must have 2600+ Grimoire score." Yeah it seems extreme but it wouldn't surprise me.

3 RepliesDefine: broken game

So you already believe we shouldn't have trading but you want people to convince you that trading would be bad? You want to be convinced of something you already believe? This post is not needed
