I do not believe we need more vault space. I believe we need the ability to access the vault from orbit
I believe that if you create 3 different characters and do not overly hoard weapons you do not need vault space. I believe by adding vault space bungie will remove some of the key decision making procedures required in this game.
So much hate. Anyhow Average number of tower trips with my method 2 one to get bounties 1 to turn em in. Unless you get an engram and you just can't wait to decrypt it. Tower visits with larger vault?

How about more vault space because it's an easy thing to do and people want it? There's no strategy involved, I can have every raid weapon, every exotic and a legendary secondary/heavy of every missing damage type as things stand now. How does that force me to be strategic? I just want to keep what I get. Why not? Feel free to scrap YOUR stuff... why do people have to play the way YOU think they should.

Like, the ability to have it sorted by weapon type, armor type, shaders, mats, etc. Revamp the hell out of it and make it accessible from orbit. For all the other Tower needs, go to the Tower and just keep it how it is, annoying as it may be to access. Do that and Destiny gets at least 25% better, off the bat.

(I.e legendary has 30 slots) So, we have 20 armor, weapon, and general item slots in our Tower vaults. Adding vault space only increases our strategy, subjectively speaking. If you've been playing since Day 1, you would know why players think that more vault space is a necessity. Different weapons for different situations, that is simple enough to understand. People still raid with their 300 VOG weapons to have fun, help new players beat Atheon, possibly obtain the Vex or an exotic from the chest. Most Day 1 and even Christmas newbies will run it with FateBringer, Atheon's Ep,(get shields down quick) Praetorian Foil, Praedyth's Revenge(conflux stage), Corrective Measure (oracle killer) or Hezens Vengeance (dps minotaurs). All stages have guns fit perfectly for it. There's 6. People will continue to play that, as well as Crota's End when House of Wolves drops. For CE, people usually just use Black Hammer, Hunger of Crota, Abyss Defiant with an exotic, or Ghorn, BH and a 331 legendary primary. There's 3-4. When House of Wolves drops, that may have more weapons you'll want, to complete the raid easily with. Now, say HOW has a good 3-4 weapons you want, that's 13-14 weapons already that you want to strategically use to defeat the raid bosses Atheon, Crota & the HOW boss. Raids will never become obsolete, because people will always be making new characters, wanting a chance at an exotic loot, or to obtain a weapon that they maybe missed, or to help a new player. Since that leaves 6-7 spots left in your weapon category, that's only 6 exotics to obtain. Now, exotics are perfect for the NF and weekly heroic strike. People use IceBreaker, Dragon's Breath, Gjallarhorn, Truth, Plan C, Thunderlord, Patience and Time,...etc for different burns to defeat the challenge with ease. People who play like this, (i.e majority of the players) definitely need more vault space man, especially when Comet drops.

lmao this makes zero sense. Strategy? wtf are you going on about. It's a game that has a large pve base. I could care less if someone has every single weapon instead of some strategy. You're a fool. Not to mention a large part of the vault space isn't even for weapons or armor. I got so many damn shaders and ships now I got zero space. Let me guess I should create a strategy for ships and shaders as well scrub? Why? These are pretty much just a way for people to have trophies and achievements so why take that away. On another note when did the scrubs all band together and decide they should be the ones dictating things?

7 RepliesWe collect all the exotics and legendaries. Plus, I have hand cannon, pulse rifles, auto rifle etc gear for difference scenarios... I also spend marks on mats because we're capped at 200 but I'm done upgrading gear. To not have 5x the vault space at least is stupid. Everyone's entitled to their own opinion but yours is stupid.... Just saying

Why not both? If you're collecting all the exotics, and raid weapons from vault of ass and crota's ass, will you have enough room? I didn't count them so I really don't know hah

If you have all the exotic guns and play as a different character it becomes very tedious to transfer weapons. For example I run suros murmur blackhammer icebreaker gjaalarhorn hoc the vex mytho and usually a legendary primary so to transfer them I need 8 spots open. Granted is that excessive, probably but Im playing as that character through raids bounties etc. I use every one of those guns in different situations. Glad I have it and not need it than need it and not have it.

Edited by Harbinger: 2/13/2015 1:12:35 AMThe are 9 VoG raid weapons, 9 CE raid weapons, and 21 exotic weapons(24 on PS4). That's a potential 42 unique weapons you would probably want to hang onto. Add in any vendor/faction weapons that you wanna keep, and you could easily be looking at having a 50+ weapon arsenal. Only being able to fit 20 of them in your vault is dumb. Plain and simple. Adding vault space won't take away any strategy of the game. It will allow you to keep the weapons you worked to get, and not be forced to dismantle them. Who cares if people want to keep their weapons? It affects you exactly 0% if they increase it. You can continue to play the game as you have been unhindered.

I have almost every raid weapon except fang and Necro, and every exotic except for Red Death and Gjallarhorn. So yes, people like me NEED vault space.

Also how does it dumb down the strategy of them game. A large base of weapons and armor is ESSENTIAL to get the most out of pvp. Husks of the pit are the only thing I hoard. Had the silly dream of a bunch of necrochasms becoming a plethora of shards. Probably gonna scrap though once they are legendary
