I'm in the TIMERS suck category. For many of the missions I can and have beat the timer. BUT I won't run anything with a timer if its not for a weapon upgrade I actually want - which includes most every weapon other than the praxic blade and wait still have not got that done yet either.

Oh Boy! "I don't play to create stress" is the post of the year! Of course, Stress varies from person to person. The solution is to make Stress creation a choice! If I want to end up in Hospital a quivering brain dead mess, then that's what I choose. if I want to end up asleep with a controller in my hand, comatose from boredom, then I'll choose that. If I don't want a Timer, allow me to not have one. Bungie seems to want to give heaps of choices with Modifiers, but not the choice on the mode of play.

The stress relief is a point that can't be stressed enough. Now every activity is full throttle maximum stress levels just to beat the bullshit timer before you lose all your revives.

Exactly. There is tons of waste time content in destiny, dont want to do timer stuff? Then go do literally anything else. Dont want to do stressful content? Go shoot ads in the EDZ. Oh but thats not what you truly want. You want all the loot and gear that comes with high end content without the work that comes with it

No, as for myself, I don't expect the same loot. All that is asked for is to turn timers on or off. Why can't it just be in with Modifiers? Now, if a timed mission is merely a mission to be avoided, with no other detriment , OK. But if, say, a timed mission prevents continuance of the game, or a following mission with no timer, that's different.

You can run with the timer mattering or set it up so can ignore the timer and take all the time you need.

It seems most players forgot the point of any game is enjoyment. Ultimately what does any tier 5 loot matter if you're not having fun? It doesn't. Loot is not the goal. Loot is a tool, that is all. Sometimes I just sign in to go play with goofy weapons in the patrol areas or explore out of bounds. Recently my friends started to speed run Headlong Time Trial from Lightfall just for something to do. No loot, just playing for fun. Apparently this playing for fun mindset is rare now.

Loot is supposed to make you stronger but not in this game. Only broken, or meta bs seems to suffice; only to eventually be nerfed into dust. I was excited about the armor changes thinking it would be somewhat akin to Diablo in it's nature. Nope. Not impressed with the armor at all other than Techsec. PVP is full of cheaters and toxic nonsense and most Portal activities at 550 have no matchmaking and if done solo can but downright atrocious; not because it's hard, but because you more than likely will get killed off because Scorn red bar snipers and pistol users along with the non stop incessant tracking projectiles enemies seem to fire. Don't even get me started in the modifiers or the bs reward grading system. This game used to feel immersive but now it really feels like a bunch of ADHD programmers or this dumpster fire together.

Last time I was in tower I did the OoB in the hanger. Me and my brother used to spend hours upon hours going to different planets breaking out of the map just for fun. We got behind the giant vex gate on nessus and spent hours back there.

There are plenty of games without timers. You can play them instead.
