Overreaction.
It’s fine as is. It was delayed due to Covid. Had Covid not happened, in theory there shouldn’t have been any delays and we would not have had the 4 month pve content drought. This weekly update was meant to be the final week so there’s continuity in the seasons.
The alternative to weekly content drops (including your suggestion) is to have all of the story content per season/dlc released at season launch. And they aren’t doing that.
in a live service game, you should expect some content to be on specific days/weeks of the season.
My main feedback for this season finale is that they should never allow 1 person of a fireteam to skip the cutscenes for everyone. They should have a voting type system where if the majority of the team elects to skip, then sure (or the full team agrees to skip, whichever is acceptable).
Delivering content with next to no bugs, issues, or massive queues should be a much bigger priority as opposed to “when” it drops as long as the content comes when advertised. And I’m pretty sure they have something called “season roadmaps” that should help.

If you honestly think covid affects people working on PCs i got something unfortunate to tell you
working at home doesn’t magically make coding harder
Изменено (Maggie Valley Champ 2016): 2/18/2022 12:06:48 AMLove adding the spoiler for dramatic effect. Well done. I get it, right. We are all fed up with Covid in general. Your point is correct that coding can be done remotely. That “fact” is a wild misinterpretation of reality though. I worked in finance and transitioning to remote work sucked at first. Took a lot of time to get acclimated at home, hold yourself accountable to work times (how many more naps have we all taken amirite), not to mention technology difficulties for folks that didn’t have PCs at home that were powerful enough to remote in to a company’s server and complete said work. It’s actually more asinine and immature to just assume anything tech related should have had zero hiccups due to Covid, in any industry. Cheers.

When Covid is over they will not be returning to the office, that is how effective working at home is when it relates to coding. You dont need some special computer or anything and you seem to be in the belief that people working at Bungie dont have access to a personal computer at home to work on? That’s hilarious considering if they wanted to work in that field (game design) they must have a computer (how else would they have applied to the job just walking in the front door?)

I hear what you’re saying, but I guess I will have to agree to disagree. My main point was they get 1 shot at that being a fair excuse before judgment is passed.

This is the only overreaction I see

Yeah stop the cap, they fully intended to release it on the last week, this company and it’s game development lacks in the brains department but is full in creativity. I hate when people keep using Covid to excuse stuff like this.

Can we stop using the pandemic as an scapegoat For everything it’s getting annoying and repetitive As a reason things get delayed when it can be An technical issue with the net coding in the Game file’s.
-
Can you stop using line break as much? It's jarring. Every time I see someone doing exactly what you're doing it's jank.

It’s a fair one-time excuse as they haven’t had release date extensions be a problem in their history, if I’m not mistaken. If it is an excuse in the future, or if the content release and execution goes as poorly as the story content this week, then they would (also fairly) lose that as a legit excuse.
