I completely agree. As a matter of fact, I can't find any flaw in what you've put forth. We are definitely a vocal part of the community, and for the exact reasons you've stated. A lot of it was due to the lack of transparency in what bungie was putting forward before the release of D2. And that was definitely done on purpose. That's also why the beta was handled so differently than the D1 play up to level 8, and play some crucible beta. I'm sure they're extremely intelligent in knowing full well this would backlash hard.
The loot boxes are also ruining a lot of the experience. Not because it's cosmetic. But because you know extra dev time is going there. Most likely a contractual obligation.
Anyways. Well thought out discussion so far. Let's continue. People come at you hard on these forums. Hope you're enjoying a civilized convo for a change.

Disagree. Bungie told us very clearly what kind of game they were making....and they weren't going to make the same mistake of giving us 25% of the game to play as beta...and then being later bashed for the "game being too small". The issue is that the community wasn't listening. The community had its own preconceptions and expectations that Bungie was being "lazy" and "money hungry" (funny how these same accusations always pop up in widely varying situations) ...and was just cranking out a glorfied "DLC" instead of a new game. Only for the community to ignore what was being said to it....buy the game...and then realize (O Shit!!) it REALLY IS a new game...... I enjoy spiritied debates....and that's what this game needs right now. Regardless of whether I agree with them....or they agree with me. We need ideas and (reasonable) opinions tossed out there, and mulled over. The people who just attack me personally----while annoying---just telegraph the fact that they have nothing to really say where my ideas are concerned.
