Leaked Crotas End Hard Mode Glitch? You Decide
So here's what happened... My buddies and I no problem went through the raid. We arrived at that ol' bastard Crota and began destroying him. Going normal right? Well out of no where while we were lighting up the swordbearer, a gatekeeper came out of no where and killed like half our squad! I shit you not after he killed 3 of our men, he vanished into thin air as we were devastated by the oversoul... I instantly yelled xbox record on that shit as we all stood there confused as hell. Let me know what y'all think. Is hard mode going to have a gatekeeper at the end? Or do you think it was just a glitch. I'm planning on posting the clip to youtube soon and will be sure to edit and post the link..

If you jump up to the boomer's platform and look towards where you guys died, on the second floor. The gatekeepers are up there just chillin. I guess they got bored

Edited by jasperelk: 1/16/2015 5:45:26 AMI always see the Gatekeeper's carcass at the end of the raid. If you glitch up to the room above the stairs there would always be a dead gatekeeper on the edge, this has always perplexed me. :/ good to see him in action tho lol

Just watched the video.... what the hell??? So maybe we will have to kill a gatekeeper with the sword before attacking crota which means only one crota attack per sword. Just speculation

15 RepliesI don't think that's the case. That gatekeeper is up there to prevent you from out of map glitching it seems. Every now and then he'll decide to get aggrod and jump down. I think the oversoul will be summoned every time you put Crota to a knee.

Gatekeeper sometimes glitches and spawn on left side with your team but usually he just de spawns. He might be part of hard mode

A gate keeper spawns at the top of the deathsinger room occasionally but doesn't come down. Me and my friends call him Joe, son of Crota. I can give you pics tmmrw

1 ReplyThere is a gatekeeper in the top area above the crystal you stand on to summon Crota, he appears once Crota is summoned and dissapears a bit later. I'm guessing he got sick of your shit and found his way down to you somehow for the lulz.

Naturally the gatekeeper spawns on top of the platform. Maybe one of you guys jumped up there and he glitched down. Worth testing.

3 RepliesI think in the crota encounter in hard mode The oversoul is gonna end up being like a giant oracle It will probably spawn in on a timer like oracles If you don't kill it It's a automatic wipe like oracles But with that said It will probably have an extremely high amount of health Kinda like the large amount of health the Oracles gained while in hard Now unless there is a second round of raid armor coming with different perks It just doesn't make since for 50% of the raid armor to be dedicated to something that will likely never get used in hard mode due to the fact that there is no revive system Maybe when crotas shield is completely drained The oversould will appear so this makes it so that while the player with the sword is doing damage to crota The other players cannot just stand there and get ready for the next round of damage to crotas shield Just a thought I could be wrong Thoughts?
