Why are people so Happy about the cheese fix?
Lol I see the "legit" Crota Raiders jumping with joy and sticking it to players who cheesed and will no longer be able to cheese next week. In case you guys didn't know: [b][u]Even without cheese the raid is still easy [/u][/b]. So relax, anyone with access to YouTube can figure out what to do in about 5 minutes. The cheese getting moldy will only make the raid a little longer, not more difficult. After the first cheeseless week, everyone will know what to do and even the cheesiest of guardians will have the knowledge necessary to complete it. After that it will all be up to individual skill, teamwork, and communication. The same happened with Atheon, the same will happen with Crota. Not much is going to change.

In my experience the ones jumping for joy are the ones who struggled to actually do the cheese. Not that i'm complaining, they'll still struggle to do the raid and i'll carry on legit like i did before the cheese.

a short while ago I got invited in to help with Crota, I load up my G-horn and other weapons to go in guns blazing. then they start talking about doing the cheese, I'm about to leave & they start trying to figure out what an ethernet cable is. I unpluged my Mic and just laughed for about half an hour as they struggled to figure out how to do the cheese, I'm serious one person thought unpluging his mic would cause it. most fun I've had in weeks

Personally I don't care if others cheese. At the end of the day cheese or no cheese I think most will go through it at some point. Hell the vendors will sell level 32 gear at some point and as for weapons they ll most likely be obsolete. All I do is not play with cheesers, our clan doesn't tolerate it and we kick any random who even mentions the word. Why cheese? The point is to experience the raid and to have fun with your fire team. Hell I still do it even when I've finished all 3. The only fun part of this game is running the raid legit.

It makes it difficult to play the game when everyone wants to skip everything. If you play just for the rewards then you are probably not enjoying the game anymore. I'm not trying to disrespect anyone, but if you don't want to play you should just find a different game that you can enjoy.

17 RepliesBecause people really think they're the only ones who can do it legitimately. It's 99% just DPS checks. The hardest thing in the game is still the level 30 conflux checkpoint in VoG. I haven't met a whole lot of people who have actually done that one outside of my raid team.

Everyone could be 32 after a good 1-2 weeks. I have cheesed the raid but before I knew the cheeses it I did complete it legit many times and did get full gear that way. The main problem is the fact that you're limited to specific gear and everyone looks the same already as a 32. Full raid gear from vault of glass somewhat showed what kind of difficult tasks you have completed like Bungie said gear should do before release. It doesn't bother me but I always have people saying "wow a 32 hunter with full gear.. He must cheese a lot" full CE gear isn't impressive to anyone because of how easily obtainable it is. You may agree or disagree, just wanted to shed some light from someone who has been through both sides of the CE spectrum :edit: it's is an extremely easy raid nonetheless can't be too impressed with anything from it like VOG

Bro, i did crota so many times legit at the beginning before i tried doing it solo. I also did first stage legit with my friend ( both titans) using bubbles requires skill to beat it. Second part bridge is easy. Don't get me wrong. It's really easy doing it legit but why waste 30 freaking minutes doing it legit when you just activate the sync plate and run to the room where the swordkeeper comes out which makes the game think you're on the other side of the bridge. Kill the mobs, witches and ogres and you're done. The shrieker hallway was a pain the ass at start, but have done it solo several times. You can't cheese it tho. Yes, it requires skill to do it. The freaking ugly witches part. What was bungie thinking when making this part? Oh i know. They were like "Hey, lets make this part the hardest of them all, and as reward... lets give them nothing" Always skipped the witches part because its was hard doing it solo on lv31, yet my friend and me ( two of us) both level 31 titans managed to beat it. Not really great about it since we didn't get any rewards after *pfft* So if anyone says i or any other player who has done it solo don't have any skill or not experienced well because we cheesed a lot, i'll say "bro, i am a pro. I am more experienced than you so get on my level noob" Can't wait to play the hard mode :)

Yeah, tell that to the people who couldn't beat VoG on hard because they couldn't beat the Templar since he got patched. I'm sure people still can't beat him.

So much ignorance in this post lol. In case you didn't know at least half of the Destiny population still hasn't beat VoG and if not for the cheese most wouldn't have beat Crota's end. Some people actually want to play with skilled players not people that couldn't figure out what to do. Now I know that the "elites" that don't want to spend an hour in this b.s excuse for DLC might be a little annoyed but oh well suck it up it's done lol.

Funny story. I made it up to crota a couple times when the raid came out, but people would always quit at that point. Then I went on vacation for 3 weeks and couldn't play. Then I come home and my whole clan is like lol this whole raid is so easy. Cheese upon cheese upon cheese. I couldn't believe it. Thankfully I've only done it this way for the past week so I didn't waste countless hours mastering the cheese mechanics. I imagine it will be just like vog though where removing the cheese only affects the worst of players.

I am happy because I want to learn it legit instead of jumping in and learning how to skip parts. Wanting to do the raid legit on DestinyLFG was like looking for a unicorn, it didn't exist.

The raid is easy if you execute the mechanics right. But that could be said about any raid in any game ever.

3 RepliesKnowing how to do the crota fight and actually pulling it off are different things. Majority of the people that raid are nervous anxious little hobbits that choke under pressure. They shouldn't get raid gear, unfortunately, the cheeses have let them. Hopefully, none of them will be able to get raid primaries.

It's because they foolishly think that other guardians are the enemy, and not the vex, fallen and cabal. They want to have better gear than everyone else and see it as a competition. Also perhaps they are frustrated that cheesers get same gear but spend [b]marginally[/b] less time doing the raid.

I don't care at all about the fix, if people want to cheese, I say go for it. It's human nature to find the easiest path to do things. That being said, I do enjoy running the raid legit when I play because it is fun. Cheeseing the whole thing makes it feel like a chore, and takes the excitement out of it. The only reason I am happy, is it will make finding groups easier (for me that is). I say this because every single LFG site I would go to would be looking for people to cheese, or I would recruit people and they would quit because they want to cheese. Again, that's fine if they want to do it, I'm not hating or calling anyone out for being a "fake" 32 as the hipsters like to say. But when I want to get a group going, it has felt damn near impossible to recruit anyone to do it legit. So for me that part is nice, if my regular group can't make it, it won't have to worry about if people I recruit want to cheese only.

I like doing the raid legitimately, but I also usually have to find a group though lfg and almost every group has to resort to cheesing.. it'll be a nice change of pace to be able to easily find groups to do it legit.

It boils down to the fact that some people like to play through the new design and use the teamwork/mechanics involved. I don't mind cheesing per say...but when I LFG for a group and half the people insist on it or just don't know how to do it, it's frustrating. Now at least I can know that the people I'm joining either know..or want to learn...how to play it out.

4 RepliesThey still don't understand all these cheeses should've never been sold to the community. Either way the raid is easy mode compared to what Bungie was bragging about. The community tore it apart, devoured it, then shat it out like a cheap gas station burrito. Bungie...you can do better. We are waiting ;)
