How did you end up with your GF/BF?
I don't know why but how people meet and the circumstances are really interesting, I'm just curious about all the random stories people have on this, some can be quite funny.
This can also be good for people that think they'll be forever alone because they can see all the ways people meet etc.
Btw you don't have to be with someone right now it could be an Ex (unless the thought of them torments you). It could even be a story you've heard about someone else.
I'll start, I met my ex on Call of Duty, while she was with someone else. After 4 months of torment in the friendzone, I finally decided to say I liked her and she just happened to break up with the person she was with 10 mins before (hallelujah), eventually we got together and met up in person and that day was a good day.

Wouldn't it be ironic and actually quite amazing if two people met on this thread talking about this subject. That would be a story to tell.

I recently found out that my ex has turned to weed, just went to Amsterdam and has been partying it up like a dumbass, who knows what else she's been up to, but it's amazing what happens after break ups with some people

She was the one who got me to turn away from all the horrible evil things I did; the one who made me want to strive to be good and decent. I became a Christian for her; because of her, I turned away from homosexuality, violence, thievery, hatred, and Satanism. She was the first light I had seen in a long time of nothing but shadow and death. I pushed myself and fought to redeem myself. Lately, she has become cold and unresponsive to me. She ignores me every chance she gets; and has all but completely abandoned me. I wanted nothing more than to love her, care for her, and treat her like the princess she is. I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her. This has caused me to question my existence, and everything I do. It has made me realize that, despite all I do, no matter how much good I've done; I will never get the happy ending, I will never get the girl, and I won't reach the light at the end of the tunnel. I am destined to forever stay in the lonely shadow; as I was meant to. But, this has also caused me to lose my connections to this physical world; and by doing so, I have felt more at peace than I have in a long time. It has provided clarity; and understanding. It has enabled me to see reality on a much grander scale.

1 ReplyI live in Brooklyn. Met her at a family function in London, Ontario, Canada. She was my dad's cousin's wife's brother's daughter. This was in 2009. We became friends and talked extensively over Facebook messaging. Over the 3 years we became best friends and talked about everything and I developed feelings for her. She came to New York in January of 2012. We met up, both single, and neither of us intended for anything to happen. We kissed. Started dating officially when shr got back home. It's been 34 months. We still live in two different countries. We see each other in person every two months, minimum. I utilize Fedex, UPS, 1800Flowers, and Edible Arrangements to send her the things I can't give her in person and she does similar things for me. It's a very strange relationship situation but we love and trust each other infinitely so it helps to make the distance feel nonexistent.

We met online. She actually messaged me, I kept making excuses not to meet up with her for three weeks. I caved in and she drove 3 hours to meet me while i was out of town. We now live together. Horrid link i may regret due to laziness of using imgur.

1 ReplyI've known her for a while but I never had taken an interest in her and we hardly talked. When I got a phone though two years ago, I asked for her number because I just wanted to text people because of the excitement of having a phone. After a few months of texting, she told me she liked me but I didn't feel the same way. (I wasn't trying to get with her, it was never my intention since I never did flirt or .) I stopped texting her for like two weeks but I felt lonely and in those two weeks, an unexplainable feeling stirred inside and the thought of her made me happy and smile. So, I told her I liked her and after a few months on January 4th, 2012, around 9 in the morning, I met up with her and asked her out. It's almost our two year and I.can't wait.

We hit it off right away and started messaging back and forth that day. That night for our first date since she lived in Wisconsin and I live in Minnesota we played Minecraft on my server that I hosted while on Skype. For the first time I found a girl that I wasn't scared to talk to and we started talking every day using Skype and Google Hangouts a month later I drove 5 1/2 hours to her house for the first time, I knew she was the one from the first time I laid eyes on her. Its been almost 5 months since we first meet and I just proposed to her on Minecraft using the original house that we built on our first date. But i did some remodeling and made it out of diamonds. Today I have been playing destiny and shes been playing Animal crossing and I am so glad I met her
