WARNING, THIS IS NOT THE ENTIRE WALKTHROUGH/THREAD PELASE GO HERE -> http://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/77770567/0/0/1 TO SEE THE REST
whats up everyone, day 5 or 6 now. Im not sure, time is not relative to me as. kinda have chronophobia and hell maybe thats why this interests me so much. I'm going to attempt to reorg all the info so that it acts as a walkthrough with things you could attempt that may yield what we are looking for. I see a lot of posts asking for vids. We do stream but no vids yet because we are tracking down leads from the community but our performance in game isint always the best. Several groups have taken it upon themselves to look too. We are very excited and hopeful overall we guardians will find something.
-------------------
original theory::
-kabr the titan went into the vog with his raid team. The creator of the "super good advice" witnessed his "fall" and it drove him insane so he created the gun to 1 keep him company and 2 keep him tied to this world. As long as everyone percieves the existance of the gun he made and he has it the oracles wouldnt be able to blink him from existence. This was suspect but even an entire raid team with the gun equipped can still succumb to oracles. Following the lore further, kabr fashions the shield out of a gorgons head and uses whats left of his light to power it. We thought maybe, be it anything from a cutscene to something similar to the loot cave might still be left to find in the VoG that would allow us to talk to Kabr one last time. In his grimoire he says "If i speak again, i am not kabr" suggesting he may speak to some version of him again be it his darkness self, soul, light, spirit, w/e. His grimoire further states "but somehow they didn't kill him" and goes on to talk about he furnished armor and weapon from vex bodies. The weapon would be the mythoclast. "they have taken my ghost" confirming the ghost found outside the vault isint his. "They are in my blood and brain" suggesting he was taken over. Made into a dark guardian. Very much alive.
Following Kabrs grimoire and that of the VoG points out to a path used by Athena (something like that i dont have the grimoire card) and she "thread" a path back out of the vault of glass. The word "thread" being used is important because Atheons will is the "needle" per grimoire and (i forget who was talking) says "i dont not know the shape that comes after" so we spent a lot of time inside the atheon throne room looking for shapes. We also tried the mythclast scope, which theoretically is a Vex eyeball and the pocket infinity which has a star shape reticle. The exotic bounty weapons all come from the team who originally enetered the VoG. So we thought maybe having some of these weapon equipped like we tried with "super good advice" and the oracles still killed us.
Mythology and Destiny's grimoire are incredibly identical however. No where are they more identical than when it comes down to the gorgons. They are typically skipped or not done without being seen or done without starting from the beginning it is very rare that an entire team will pass through undetected from the start of the spire all in one go. I also think its very possible that the original raid team from testing, the one that spent an absurd amount of time on the raid and never completed it, were actually looking for the same thing that we are.

::Dev quotes::
-What was you guys' thinking in leaving just about everything unexplained?
"The raid really is about a couple of things at the core. It's about a sense of discovery, whether it's discovering a new environment or discovering how to tackle the problems that you're about to encounter with your teammates. And when you think about what you want to explain, if you want the player on a journey of discover, well, we didn't want to explain much to them at all." Part of the fun, in fact most of the fun, is figuring it out on your own."

OFFICIAL:: killing Atheon is the end of the raid ... (-.-;)p -> http://www.bungie.net/7_Bungie-help-I-finished-the-Raid-and-the-boss-didnt/en/Help/Article/12167
"The rewards for killing Atheon and completing the Vault of Glass are awarded when he dies"
Well that certainly debunks a lot of theories. I still think there could be something in the gorgon maze but with this new info i must say i feel i hit a wall. I am going to stream tonight and attempt the new chest location. Info above.
Regarding the first team to complete the raid "1st" and the "tighter knot"
-Chronic Draaven (b.net)
As Watts said. "The truest form of the Raid awaits. For the first to finish it, there are even more meaningful rewards. Nothing can undo PRIMEGUARD’s accomplishment in completing the opening act first, but Bungie is still watching to see who can unravel the tighter knot."
:::the big question::: is this a troll??::
-yes and no. If anyone is being trolled here. It is me. I am absolutely committed to this information and while i admit i jumped the gun my first stream night. I was just as excited to figure some of this out as many of you are. I'm not perfect, ive done my best to give credit where credit is do. Bear in mind. I cant defend myself 24 hours a day. My head feels like its gonna explode from everything im trying to piece together. So there you have and that is the honest answer. I'm choosing to believe in what im looking for. This will be a process. The fact is we are missing something. My biggest fear is you all will stop looking. Please don't let me take away from the possibility that destiny might have a handful of secrets left for us.
All goals, unknown goals, and "busted myths" will be posted with their respectable sections. Unknown goals are listed and believed to have possibilities because of lore or because clearing sections with 0 fxck up count yields a chest like from the Templar by not letting him teleport. It would be unreasonable to believe this is the only time this takes place in the vault.
::the spire::
-spawning into the spire, you see a group of vex vanish from infront of the dead portal. This dead gate is one of two you see. The second being on a platform before atheon/gatekeeper entrance and after/going down jumping puzzle.
known goals - dont let vex control a single sync plate
result - unknown
unknown possibilities - let all plates be controlled by vex, can they open thier own gate below?
Regardless if the vex control 1 plate or none the lights leading up to the Templars Well remain the same. Tested by doing 1 right after the other.
------------------------
Kabrs trials - is a walk way through the spire door that leads down to the ::first chest:: which is rumored to be skippable and when doing so may trigger a ::chest:: inside the Templars Well. The passage way itself doesnt seem to hold any additional secret passages.
-------------------------
The Templars Well - first off, this area is way to BIG and way to SECRET on top of being way to POLISHED to act only as an additional walk way to The Templar area. Those who have explored it for hours have found nothing. The only question now is did they explore it at the right time or with the right circumstances? Following this path brings you to what is reffered to as a second entrance to The Templar. Essentially you end up on some rocks just west of the normal platform you would stand on before jumping down. The entrance to the well can be done 1 of 2 ways. One way found here --> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1nIMj6mX6MM skip to about 3:25
-----------------------------
!The Templars Room!
-here we come up against 3 battles. Inside this room we have only found 2 entrances out. The wall leading to the bloom chest and the obvious giant gate that opens behind the templar after defeating him. If you climb up, over and behind the very center of where the gatekeeper sits before his battle you can drop down to an area where a glitch of the templars relic appears. Pulling it removes the one for the templar and we have no found a way out yet though one is rumored.
The battles~~
Defend the Confluxes!
-known goals: dont allow any vex to sacrfice. This is difficult and doable. It can take several tries however because soemtimes the vex can warp from extreme distances, past you and end up behind the farthest conflux. Which is bullshxt btw and this should be fixed.

stream is up! Cracking the VoG night 4 we are on normal looking to skip the first normal chest and search for a hidden chest rumored to be inside the templars well. Why do we believe it may exist? Because the tempalrs well is way to fxcking polished and secret to have nothing in it. We will keep the vex off the sync plates and look for the lights to change from the vex red to the blue. During the templar, we are looking for no sacrifices but realistically it can be difficult and slightly unfair at times. We have players sitting ontop of and in front of the conflux. So hopefully they wont get past. If we can push the templar off, and activate more blue lights, we hope to see blue lights for passing the gorgons. also check out these angles undilatdunicorn - http://www.twitch.tv/undilatdunicorn lovedubb - http://www.twitch.tv/gotluv4veedub whosskilled - http://www.twitch.tv/whos_skilled mrpugly(b.net) - http://www.twitch.tv/Mrpugly and bungies biggest troll victim, me, -> http://www.twitch.tv/oh_ver_driive_on_xbl_

2 RepliesJust a funny idea. What If this what we Are doing exploring the Vault Maybe the vex and the Vault Are consuming us like they Did to Kabr because we Are spending so much time and thoughts in the Vault. Maybe vex is now inside us and we must get back to vex because they Are calling us home. :D
-
4 RepliesWhat if Kabr is Xür after he is taken over by darkness and is controlled by the "agents of the nine", even his quotes suggest his thoughts aren't his own and that the traveler had a "dark mirror". I love these posts.

2 RepliesHey man, just wanted to give you a post of support. I'm a lot like you, I love exploring the Vault because there just seems to be something bigger than chests that we're missing. I really appreciate the work you've put into these posts, and the time you've spent to adding and editing to it. After the twitch fail I began to think you were trolling, but when you posted your side it just seems to be an issue of communication. I would only suggest that when a friend/source of yours tells you they found something, make sure you include that in your edits. A lot of people are upset because you speak in a lot absolutes in what seems to be faulty info. By that I mean when you hear Bob found something you instantly jump to the OP and claim that part of the puzzle has been solved without validating the information. I see 2 ways to appease this situation. Either provide evidence (video seems to be the new "pic or it didn't happen"), or you simply state "Bob said this happened after doing this and this, can anyone confirm?" Solving this raid will take a community effort, and thus we should all (myself included) should be more open to failure when a theory gets disproven. But this is a two-way street, in order to get this leniency from this community all you need to re-phrase a few things or provide more evidence. I hope you don't take this a bash- I frequent this thread and subthread frequently while I raid and test the theories you and others have submitted (along with my own) because exploring that Vault of mystery is the only way I can have fun on Destiny anymore. If there is something else in there (I'm not talking more chests with more shards) I want to find it, and I don't care if I'm first or not I just want to solve the mystery. Keep up the good work man. I really believe if you change your rhetoric or can provide video the responses you get will grow ever more positive. If you're on XB1 btw you sound like a fine fellow to pioneer this s.o.b with.

17 RepliesJust went to the Q and A link you provided and a quote got me thinking. The question where the respondent answered with they wanted us to learn how to use the shield. When I read that I first thought, how do we use the shield? What does it DO? It's "basic" offensive capability is impressive, but nothing stands out from being able to chain melee some harpies. What about the super? It fires a large projectile of light that lowers the templar's shield and can hurt both it and Atheon. The former to me is the more interesting trait, it can bring down barriers (the damage it does to either boss pales in comparison to most our arsenals of precision hits with snipers and rockets, heck even some grenades hurt Atheon more). The latter tells me it was not designed to be a major offensive threat, but rather a tool with enough firepower to keep the user from peril. Last but not the least, the cleanse. What does it DO? It removes debuffs and wipes set upon by the dangers of the Vault. What are the dangers, debuffs, and wipes of the vault? Well, there's being marked by oracles, marked by time, and... the gorgon's gaze. If there is a way to get a shield in that maze I believe killing all the gorgon's would be a cakewalk compared to now. One guy with shield cleanses with each gaze while the rest of the squad unloads. Rinse and repeat. The problem with this is the fact that they respawn. But what if you kill enough to make a special gorgon spawn? perhaps one named "medusa" since it would fit the rest of the mythology of that area and the raid overall. Back to the super, it brings down shields. What if it disables, converts, or one-shots gorgons? It's damage against bosses doesn't impress me (albeit, I do roll with a fully upgraded g-horn at level 30 so I'm always giving this guy bruises). I have heard of a path to the gorgon layer from up and behind the templar spawn, but despite a my few and short attempts to explore (my team grows impatient since they just want to check it off for the week) I have not found this path. There are however, numerous climbing possibilities in that room given the height and relative ease of climbing the environment. If there is a path, could we not take the shield, pass on the templar and go wreck on some gorgon nerds? While possible I do see a limitation. Bungie patched where the shield resets when taken back out of the "arena." It is possible that it would reset if take this direction as well. Additionally, since the oracles would continue to spawn you may have to constantly cleanse, and I don't think that would be Bungie's intent. It would just be tedious and wipes would be numerous. I do, however, want to test this because if this is the way to do it then once you get to the layer you should get a checkpoint. If there is a cp, then I'd like to see if the oracles continue to mark. If they do, then I think it would just be a glitch. If not, then I think we have something. Other counters I thought of were if this was what supposed to happen then how can we get the SB and secret pathway chest? Would bungie really put in a path that forced you to leave behind loot? I'm inclined to think not, but I still think it would be fun to test. If anyone wants to join me I'm on XB1!

1 ReplyAnyone ever thought to hit one relic with another's supercharge?
-
By any chance could the mythoclast be the "needle"?
-
Hey I have a theory.... so when ur fighting atheon and u get times vengeance, the person with the shield has to do something with that shield... so in that room, theres 6 red circular light's. So since u have 30 seconds with the shield, what if u were to shoot the shields super at the red lights???? Kabr did say he "made a crack in the vog, where the light comes thru the crack".... and he says he's now the shield... well how about making another crack in the vault? I just came up with this theory. Can someone try it and confirm? I will try tomorrow.

Stand next to conflux in range of the screen blur. Have visions of confluence equipped. Shoot vex for critical damage and listen for the conflux to start playing new sounds. When templar sends forth his legions the sound won't bug. ?????????????????????????? $$$ Profit $$$

2 RepliesAll this hype bungie is gonna be forced to add more content, so this raid isn't left behind when dark below is released As of right now I think everything is already discovered lol
-
If you only want to explore... you can use the sparrow glitch with the vault doors (simply ride your sparrow to the LEFT side of the door than exit the sparrow) although the chests wont spawn nor the conflux, but its a great-easy way to explore in search for a hidden room or chest or even to brainstorm/plan strategies to make things easier/faster. **once you enter a door with a sparrow there is way to exit** idk just trying to help :)
-
Hey Buddy, please start putting date/timestamps on your updates. It is impossible to find where you have added new info etc. Clean this shit up so we can actually help you.
-
2 RepliesEdited by ZombieHippo: 11/8/2014 11:01:27 PMit's past and future. atheon is trying to keep the ONE relic from you instead you brought both past and future version of the same relic. when you "cleanse" that bubble is a stasis in time unaffected by time's affects. therefore Gorgons, which essentially erase your existence, wouldn't work.
-
5 RepliesThis is just dragging on too long. Yesterday you said youd post a video on how to find the relic outside the vault. Instead you post a stream of you guys not being able to defend the confluxes at templar. Just post the vid of finding the relic outside of atheon in the edit and stop posting random VoG streams.

5 RepliesEdited by dSaob: 11/8/2014 7:45:15 PMI got an idea after seeing what Kabr's armour looks like .. Might he be a special form of vex? Maybe similar to a goblin ? Since as the lore says he became obsessed with the vex and fashioned armour in their likeness then he was taken over by them so might he be similar to xyor the unwed? Has anyone tried to just constantly kill mobs instead if opening the portal at the gatekeepers to see if Kabr spawns as an enemy or something else?

Bump, new info is out. Will be answering posts for the next hour or so

Edited by oh ver driive: 11/8/2014 4:39:58 PMWill update info today around 2 or 3. I gotta comb through everyone's posts for info. I have between today and through Tuesday to figure some things out as I'm off work xD. I'm confident that no matter how small it is that we will find something.

12 Repliesokay STOP HAMMER TIME! Don't let the patoreans take over sync plates on the outside and dont open first chest and go underneath that area and find that chest. Next one is difficult... dont get caught at all by gorgons in maze and have one player stay in the opening too atheon... Kill the gate keeper and continue to stay at entrance... literally in the middle of it so it cant close... Kill atheon run outside and get to Vex plate... hunters can do it easily with blade dancer. titans with highest jump... Falcon punch or w.e the bad ass melee is. if not super it with the aiming one. warlocks i dont know how too. The chest spawns on the rocks behind the vex plate not on it. Your welcome.

2 RepliesEdited by D4rkFr4g: 11/9/2014 2:08:51 AMI found a way that you can get to the area above the templar room without having to climb up the outside wall. It will also get you up to the top of the two spires towards the back of the templar stage. I'll finish exploring it and then let you know. Update: So the easier path is to go to the back of the room near the door where the Templar originally spawns. There's a small pillar, jump on top of it. Then there is a slightly taller pillar beside, jump on top of that. Now look the direction opposite of the door. Above and slightly to the right there is a small ledge, jump here. Now jump straight up and you will be in a whole area above the templar room. If you turn back towards the door there should be an opening in the rock wall towards the back left. Through there and to the right is the path down below the Templar. You can also make it to midway up the spire from the respawn point and then jump back and forth between the pillars to reach the top. Once on top you can jump over to the rock ledges on the right side of the room and then back to the same area above the Templar.
