who else hates the nerf on autorifles ..
I feel like bungie has ruined this game for me me and my pals had great auto rifles suros regime and hard light / various other ones from the VoG raid etc ..
They are now shit you have made them utterly useless compared to how they was ??? I can't see how people think they was over powered..
My auto rifle is now completely inaccurate and does hardly any damage ...
Why should I be forced to use a different weapon by you bungie ???
We found out we could use the freedom of the environment to help kill one of your vault of glass bosses and you take that away from us ?? That's not cheating its people finding ways to overcome the impossible vault of glass raid which everyone can do !
You listen to cry babies and kids who can't unlock the best things so nerf them for everyone who can ! You should reward best players and not change a game so so much ...
I'm glad you guys sold the halo franchise so you can't ruin my best game like you did to destiny ...
I'm sure I'll get flamed by all the cry babies who can't kill and say auto rifles needed nerfing but I'm also sure all the other people who earned autorifles like me will be majorly pissed off and feel like we're having them takern away from us and you making us play the game your way not our way ....
If people are so pissed off about autorifles being so good then do the same earn them and use them as well don't go crying about it so bungie change it ...
You have let me down big time bungie not just for this nerf but also for lack of game content I can't wait for the master chief halo edition to come out and I'm only glad you guys aren't behind it anymore ...

Edited by NeXuS: 10/16/2014 8:26:16 PMI honestly don't feel much of a difference with my auto rifles. I'm still owning the hell out of things with my Suros, and Epilogue. In fact, today I solo'd the nightfall, weekly strike, and daily mission with a combination of AR, SNIPER, and Rocket Launcher. I never go anywhere without my stability management system though (My thumb), and the dmg nerf seems almost negligible. I feel like it might be a difference to a vast majority of the users because they are hell bent on using an auto rifle as some sort of sniper. I'm generally close to my target when I'm taking them out, and if you are doing the same as me, but still cant control the gun, perhaps you should invest in some new thumbs! :D

In other words, I've accumulated a fair number of powerful assault rifles. And as you can see from my profile I've made extensive use of them, over a third of my crucible kills are from assault rifles. So I'm one of those people that has good assault rifles, and has used them a lot. I was also [i]thrilled[/i] to see them nerfed. Why, you might ask? Because I didn't really [i]want[/i] to use them. I have a lot more fun with hand cannons, or even scout rifles. The problem was that they would lose to assault rifles in a gun fight almost every time. So the power of assault rifles practically forced me to use them all the time in crucible. Now that they've been nerfed I can actually use guns that I enjoy without handicapping myself. And people being able to do that, instead of being pigeonholed, is definitely good for the game.

Ok so the nerf Isent the worst thing that could of happened and to be honest I still like auto rifles the only thing that bugs me about the nerf is the .25 decrease for head shots basically I stopped aiming for head shots in the crucible it's better to go for the guaranteed body shots then the risky headshots which with my shadow price does 22 to the body and 27 to the head I don't mind the stability adjustment or the 2% base damage decrease i agree the nerf was needed I just disagree with the .25 headshot decrease

I haven't noticed any changes at all to my shadow price, it still -blam!-s in pve & pvp, you're probably just bad with auto rifles or something

While you might still hit some shots, you aren't beating a scout rifle or other long range weapon anymore. I was using the khotsv or whatever the hell the first rifle is and Vanquisher XIII tonight and they both perform well.

I only use hand cannons and scout rifles for both PvE and PvP. I prefer hand cannons, but for those Nightfall bosses that like to hover far back, my scout rifle comes out to high five them.

I can notice the difference on my SUROS Regime. I've been opting for Thorn as of late.

Negligible difference. Still prefer Shadow Price, even vs newly buffed scout rifles.

Honestly. I barely notice any change at all. Only time I kinda notice it is if I'm long range. Other than that, auto rifles feel more or less the same as before the hotfix.

Your favorite no-skill-required weapon got nerfed and now you're incompetent in the crucible, develop gun skill and get over it.

I use ARs a lot and I don't feel it too much. SUROS is still great and Shadow Price is fine on stability. Though I think bullet torrents like Doctor Nope may have suffered (without the perk).

Honestly my scores are all over the place in Crucible, but even after the nerf of my main pvp weapon it really hasnt felt any different. Sometimes I push in some poo poo and end up second(ish) on my team. Others I get so wrecked its funny how not funny it is. Either way Im having fun and not writing Congress about my missing 8% or whatever it was. If youre that butthurt then youve become dependent on the auto. Try the pulse rifles. Crazy mean critical damage bud :)

1 ReplyArs are fine. I do fine with my suros still. You are not forced to use anything to be competitive. Even pre-nerf, however, ars were decisively better than other primaries before the patch. I think you, and the other people complaining about the nerf, are just trying to find an excuse for why you are not as good as you thought you were.

So your spray-n-pray BS doesn't work all the way across the map anymore? Good. God forbid you have to try for headshots. Time for a hard truth for a lot of you: No matter how much stuff you earn in this game, or what Bungie does to it, all it will ever be is 1's and 0's in a computer program. I use auto rifles. I'm good with them. I have a maxed hard light, vanquisher, and Atheons epilogue. The nerf didn't destroy them. The game is more balanced now. It's noticeable, but not so much they're unusable. I've used all of them on the highest level content, And they're fine.
