We should be able to QUICK SWITCH weapons
We should be able to QUICK SWITCH weapons.
Why not just do 3 sets of weapons so we can switch 3 weapon sets at the same time
Set 1
Primary 1
Secondary 1
Heavy 1
Set 2
Primary 2
Secondary 2
Heavy 2
Set 3
Primary 3
Secondary 3
Heavy 3
We could make our own sets of weapons and switch all really QUICKLY... Now, it is horrible.

I quick switch weapons all the time. (Press Y on default controls Xbox One) Sometimes I even hold Y and it switches to yet another weapon.

1 Replythis is a terrible idea. you suffer an ammo penalty everytime you switch weapons, so if you 'quick' change every weapon you're carrying, you'll be out of ammo in less than 15 secs after switching. set your loadout based on the task at hand and if you're forced to switch, it doesn't take that much time to switch one or several weapons out. cutting your ammo in half for every weapon is a muy malo idea.

The weapons system allows for switching in the middle of a match/game, but it's clear Bungie wanted to discourage this from happening. That's why you lose a good chunk of ammo when switching weapons of the same class. I don't think we'll see something like this implemented, and I'm ok with that; as others have mentioned it's too exploitable with regards to exotics in the Crucible.

I'm pretty sure this will never happen as it completely disregards the restriction of only being able to equip one exotic, at least if it's done on the fly. I wouldn't see them having issues with choosing a loadout prior to each respawn, though. Sure some have stated legendary weapons are often on par, if not better than exotics and you can equip them, but I think that's simply due to the fact that exotics aren't living up to their reputation as they have indicated. I imagine they will buff them at some point to ensure they stand out.

In your inventory put the weapon you want to switch to in the slot right next to the current equip. I will say I hardly change my primary when going into a match/game, So: Up: Special Down: Heavy Left: Special Ammo Sythesis Right: Heavy Ammo Sythesis Then at the end of the round it'll switch back so you people can dance after a win lol.

1 ReplyI was talking about this with a buddy the other day. There should be a hot bar for each weapon type. The d-pad would then be used to switch between these. Which ever weapon type was active at the moment would be able to change with the d-pad. If I had an auto rifle out, but I wanted a solar sniper, I would hit the weapon switch to bring up my special and then I could select with the d-pad my solar sniper. Example: I'm playing the Phogoth strike with epic as a modifier. I have a solar sniper for wizards and an ark sniper for Knights. I don't want to have to leave myself vulnerable to switch out the two snipers to take care of each shield type. It would be better if I could whack the d-pad and have the weapons switch out. I could take my shot and then switch back to my primary when the shields drop. Leave the waving/pointing/sitting/dancing for the tower.

3 RepliesI'm not sure this would be a good feature. It would make most people a bit OP. I have a lot of exotics and legendary weapons and to freely switch between them without pressing the start button would mean I could use all of them whenever I wanted in seconds. It wouldn't be exactly fair in PVP but possibly could work in PVE

I agree. I've been thinking this all along but wasn't sure if it was just me. I would just like to be able to use the d-pad to swap between four weapons at least of your choice. I use hand cannon primarily but for those times I'd like to switch out to AR or some other rifle to deal with swarming crowd control .. I'd like to do it faster than having to go into my menu to switch out.. Because sometimes there's no time for it.

4 RepliesWould love this. Only in crucible though. In pve I don't really care. Although I hate having to remove one exotic weapon to use another. Little annoying at times in the middle of a fire fight. O well though.
