38 RepliesI've been surfing through these topics and comments for weeks now taking in everything everyone is saying. A lot of people are complaint about lack of content, bugs that need to be fixed, or just all around gameplay atmosphere in general. Then there are some people who take this game with a grain of salt, and in my honest opinion I could never really catch a grip on the latter....until now. Back story on my interest of this game. There was none. I never watched any of the preview or Vidoc trailers by Bungie over the last year, let alone read anything pertaining to the game itself. I skipped the beta and never thought of purchasing the game period. You see I'm an avid Fifa player, like 5 plus hours a day when I get home from work so I never thought to add this game into my library. That is until I went on disability. long story short I hurt my shoulder and cannot perform my work duty a so disability was the only choice. This came a week before the release of destiny. Growing ever so insane from boredom I decided to purchase the digital copy from Psn. And thus my journey began into the countless hours of this game. I'm level 29 and aside from raids or nightfall missions this game is now useless to me until other events open and DLC is released. So I've been spending my time looking at videos online of the actual Vidoc that bungie released last year plus all their conference videos over the last few years regarding this game. Take that into account with the leaked information from certain bungie/ex bungie employes I've been able to chat with, I finally understand why more then 50% of the fans are heavily disappointed with what has become this supposed game. At first play through....this game feels amazing. Controls, landscapes, weapons and abilities....they're all just so polished. Then you get into the campaign. During my first play through, as with many fans, I was dumbfounded by the lack of information that was given to me during these missions. The perfect example would be the recently released Queens wrath kill order missions which are just story missions with a modifier one. But one in particular comes to mind. I believe it is called 'Restoration' and is on earth. You have to kill an archon and take the warp drive...the first actual mission in the game. After u beat this mission in all of 3 mins from start to end, yes bungie 3 mins, it goes to the same cutscene that we still cannot skip. But just the other day I was watching it over and over , because I got the same kill order 3 times in a row and they all gave me the same chest peice that I already have 10 of, the information that the speaker gives u is non existent. As a guardian you ask 'what happened?' The speaker then begins his rant of ' I could tell u about the war blah blah blah' and ends his speech with ' the children are now scared no matter what.' Now when playing through the game for the first time you don't really mind this reply because you still have a whole game ahead of you. Little do you know that you will never find out what happens....atleast not in this release of the game. It looks now to a gamer that the story is being chopped up so it can be released for dlc purposes...and even that is stretching reality. The original story has been wiped away, clans have been deleted along with trading systems originally installed and, oh yes that famous chat feature that everyone wants, was already in the original game. Characters have been reinstalled as lone figures not relating to the story. Engrams were never suppose to be random treasure, blues were blues and purples were purples. Hive had the ability to climb and take away that high vantage point that makes u safe. Mines were also part of gameplay for strategic reasons. But the people in the board room....the people who sought to benefit the most from sales figures and content, decided different. With all my research I can say that this game is only a shadow of what it once was. We will never get the original story line to play, it has been chopped up and edited far to much for the company to release and still show face. I give Bungie one piece of advice, eventually you will have to come clean to the consumer. I understand as a company you wanted something great to release and you actually had it. But were forced to diminish amazing characters, story, and just all around experiance in order to meet the deadline. You need to give the consumers piece of mind. People didn't pay only the $60 plus dollars for the game.....many people payed 450$ plus dollars for a system just to play this game. You have to understand what you created and shown the world over the last few years is not this version. Now when I read peoples reviews of hate for the game and what not, I can understand their frustration. Your motto is become legend....how is that possible when legends have great back stories about heroics and history.....two things that you never find in the game itself. I will still continue to play and max my gear and hope these childish events u release will keep me content until the dlc. Until then Bungie...my advice....don't ruin your legend.
