Hello Bungie & Fellow Guardians,
I'm a hunter. So far only rare gear. I've gotten 3 legendary Engrams. 2 of them turned out rare and the one that did decode as legendary turns out to be for a warlock. Gotta admit, it's a little upsetting. I've been playing the game for countless hours, but I still have work and kids to look after. So I gotta be honest in saying it sucks that I finally get a legendary but it's for the wrong class. I could understand if there was a trading or gifting system in Destiny, but there isn't. Please fix this game so that it stops giving us gear for the wrong class, or add a trading system to the game. It would be much appreciated.
I made this post a few days ago. Finally found another legendary Engram with my Hunter last night. Guess what it turned out to be? An exotic helmet for a Titan. I am still playing, but this is just ridiculous. This is the only game I have played in my 30+ years that will make you grind for hours and then pick you up with a purple engram, just to slam you on the ground and laugh at you when it turns out to be a legendary or exotic for the wrong class! Please stop this madness, Bungie. This isn't right. I can only imagine how many controllers have been smashed worldwide because of this vindictive game.
Thanks for listening.
EDIT: This is not a complaint, but merely an observation. I am giving feedback. That feedback is that not all of us have time for multiple classes. Not all of us are interested in playing multiple classes. Many of us have other priorities. Also, many of us have other games we play in addition to Destiny. My feedback is that Bungie should either add a trading system with friends and clan mates or make legendary items class-specific. I do not have any issue with grinding for legendary Engrams or the time it takes to find one. I do, however, take issue with getting Legendary items for classes that I have no intention on playing. When it takes multiple hours, or even days sometimes to grind for legendary Engrams - I feel that it should be a rewarding experience when you do find/get one and not an ultimate letdown. Thank you for understanding.

1 ReplyWith trading, perhaps this legendary hunter cloak I got might see some use (it's a rep cloak for New Monarchy, I think). Without trading, the cloak may eventually find it's way into the shredder, and that would be a terrible waste if someone else out there would want it.

YOU GET OTHER CLASS ITEMS TO YOUR OTHER CHARACTERS BY PUTTING THEM IN THE VAULT..........
-
Yes we definitely need a trading system between guardians as while trading gear we can't use with vendors. Not mention fixing the RNG for PvP.

8 RepliesEdited by NERD RAGE XB1: 9/18/2014 1:29:12 PMNo trading!! Trading leads to selling , which leads to farming to sell, Which leads to gold farmers which leads to in-game sales from outside companies and a constant barrage of in game and out of game spam, which leads to me getting mad, which leads to me getting mad and not paying attention, which leads to me pulling out of the driveway mad, which causes me to run over kittens You don't want dead kittens on your effing hands do you?! No trading. Fix the loot.

2 RepliesTrade would be alright. Even if they limit trades to people on your friends list or with clan members only. I got an exotic helm for a Titan and I don't wanna play a Titan just to use it. I don't wanna break it down cause I've no need for plasteel playing. I'd rather give it to my friend.

5 RepliesIt says on the engrams random class. You want 100% guaranteed gear for your class? Grind like everyone else does.
-
15 RepliesMaybe play all the classes just a thought I have a legendary helmet for my hunter when I've been working on my warlock, not mad because I would rather have all three classes to use for any situation rather than just one its also easier to grind with multiple characters doing bounties and drops

4 RepliesI agree... Same happened to me... Bungie sucks

Use the gear as ascendant materials to upgrade your class specific gear. That's why the out of class gear is there.
-
Trade system would be awesome.

13 RepliesSadly, it's not a bug. Bungie intended for this to be the way it works. If you look at the engram description, it says "(random class)" right in there. The funny thing is that they touted the whole individualized loot streams as getting rid of loot you can't use.

Speak it, Buddy. Truth.
-
6 RepliesThey want to play as multiple classes.. hence the vault being account based and not character based.

Same here trade system

I agree for a trade system
