Destiny Keeps Disconnecting me from the game *UPDATE!*
I am not sure if this is only me but Destiny for me has constantly been disconnecting from the servers giving me numerous "Disconnected" notices and it is really starting to drain my patients. I have made sure my Internet Connection is working fine so I assume this is just a first day thing? Is this happening to anyone else?
UPDATE!
I am well aware that a lot of people are having problems on any system, I was trying everything I could such as manually inputting my router information for better connection and other things but essentially nothing worked. I gave up at around 5am in the morning and went to bed and 3 hours later once I woke up I turned it on and it worked perfectly and I am now still playing the game.
I honestly do not know how this was resolved as it just seemed to of happen, could it have been Bungie doing something to the servers? Is it just certain internet connections being a bitch? I don't know and sadly I can't help those who are now in the same situation I was in, I am sorry but the only thing I can suggest is be patient and check your connection settings to make sure you have the best connection settings available.
I followed this link and it gave me a lot of info and despite it did not help me as much I believe it could still help one of you. So good luck to everyone and believe me your patients will be rewarded, hope you get to play soon!

I just had it having to restart an effing mission of the day 4 times to just get disconnected at the end is BS. Trading the game in and getting something else that is not made by BUNGIE! 1 ReplyI got the same issue. Im out of patience. Yesterday im playing destiny and it keeps me out of the server many times. I smashed my ps3 controller shit. I have good net but the destiny is shit. I like your game but fix it so people like me can play stable and experience your hard work of doing / creating this game

7 RepliesIt blows my mind how the BETA ran so smoothly and now the actual game is a total nightmare for me. I try to get online with my wife and friends and it won't let us join each others games or anything. I tried for an hour last night to play and couldn't get online so just said f@ck it and went to bed. Every time I play I spend more time angry than I do enjoying this game.

3 RepliesI got this game in october around when it came out and ive had this problem very little. But around December every five minutes im disconnecting! I have spent over 300 hours on destiny and only had this problem recently the only reason i have not stoped playing is becuase i think destiny is a great game and thinking to myself with absolutely no luck that they are going to fix it. But if you read this can anyone explain why if i play a game like Advanced warfare for like i dont know 4 hours with no problems no lag or anything. But when i get on to destiny the very first thing is i go to the tower and lag out! It says Whoops sorry you -blam!-ing disconnected for the 50th -blam!-ing time today! I really dont get it i dont even care anymore i wish i could sell it but i cant so i might as well wait for bungie to fix this its pretty stupid if you ask me i was reading the comments there really should be a offline mode but i do get that it only runs on servers. (So it wont ever happen.) I also dont find it fair how to get anything! And i really mean anything good in the game you have to really play non stop becuase getting to lvl 20 was the easiest thing in that game you guys made it so hard to reach the lvl cap at 32 and that is what people hate if we all wanted to gring for 100 hours we would go and play world of warcraft!

1 ReplyI'm fed up with the issues this game has. Wasted $35 on the stupid season pass. I can't stay in the game world for more than a few minutes before getting bee, fly, or some other error. Not buying the sequels to this game. Bungie, stop posting that ridiculously generic "solution". It does not help. I get 60-100 Mbps speed with 100% signal strength. It's not my setup or ps4. You have horrible architecture. I'm a programmer so I know about this stuff. Fix this! Stop wasting our time and money!

1 ReplySo I disconnect everytime from you guys unless I play late as hell as 11 to 6 in the morning. I am a marine and that isn't gonna work for me I get d ok ne with my day 2100 or 2200 I need sleep fix your servers especially in california. Overall your game is good your customer care is terrible

A) Not sure why they used the worst servers in the world with such a great game and why isn't this fixed by now?? I've been reading all the posts on here and I bought this game yesterday (March 19) and this is STILL a problem!! What a tease! creating a great game and then not making sure you can play it. I'm returning my game; this isn't worth it. And B) AT LEAST Bungie should've provided a story mode game that does not require the internet because they aren't ready to play with the big boys like HALO, etc. Waiting... hoping and trying to be patient; but with this many customers having the same issue for SO LONG and now I am. This is just wrong.

2 RepliesSo completely just my personal experience but after running through all the port forwarding tips and opening up every port that made sense to do so I tried one thing that I have not seen mentioned here that seems to have fixed this error. For those of you using a Comcast/Xfinity provided modem along side a separate router. (note this wont work if you are using the modem/router combo) ensure that your modem is switched to bridge mode. If you don't know how to do this call Comcast and they are able to do so. (provided that your modem has been updated to the latest firmware) As soon as we did that I was able to maintain a stable connection, where before I was experiencing many of the same issues that other posters here were. Hawk or Caterpillar disconnects every five minutes or so. Note: I do not promise that this will work for every one under every circumstance. If for what ever reason this does not work for you and you encounter me in the game world please refrain from telling me that I am (redacted) that I should (redacted) and that my mom is (redacted) if for what ever reason this does work for you and you encounter me in the game world please feel free to tell me that I am a (redacted) that you are willing to pay me in (redacted) and that you are willing to (redacted) Cheers

7 RepliesI have an xfinity technicolor modem. Just called them and had then open my nat port settings and i havent been disconnected since. Might wanna try it. I just called them about 2 hours ago and ive been good... I thght it was bungie the whole time

I'm also getiing error now, I didn't use to but every since I switched to exfinity I've been getting errors and idk wht to do! In total I got 50 different errors!

1 ReplyMy son just got Destiny as a christmas gift and it won't work. It keeps logging him out from xbox live AND at the moment we can't log in to xbox live at all. We have even reset the settings and installed out network again but that doesn't work so right now he can't play anything thanks to this worthless game. How do we do to install xboxlive again????

very disappointed. XBOX 360, Xfinity technicolor router, and after spending a couple hours setting up port forwarding, reviewing IP settings, still can't stay connected for more than a few minutes without dropping. Drops LIVE connection as well. Sorry, but you'll find my copy of Destiny at Gamestop. I am failing to see the appeal of a on-line multiplayer that is sooooo sensitive.

I love Destiny but just can't take much more of this being disconnected and then it saying its Canary my Internet connection? This has been going on sense the game came out it's never going to end and saying on your web page sorry is not good enough I mean Halo never had this problem and saying sorry over and over mouth after mouth it starting to get old. I mean I'm still on the moon never been to Mars yet. If these problems don't get resolved by next year I'm giving up Destiny for good and I'm shore many more will agree with me. Your starting to run out of time bungie the end is coming believe me
