3 Reasons Xbox Owners Are Right To Be Mad

Most users on this forum don't understand the significance of what Bungie's timed/not so timed PS4 exclusives mean... Especially to Xbox owners. Back in the day, Bungie was a "respected" game company. When Halo hit, Bungie blew off the charts. Why is that relevant? Here's 3 reasons: 1. Xbox owners literally made Bungie who they are today. Face it, Destiny wouldn't be what it is without us Xbox peons. It seems Bungie has forgotten that fact. 2. The whole "it's not Bungie's fault!" BS. Gimme a break! As if Bungie is just some pawn being played in a game. If that's true, Bungie has fallen far... Which makes me question my loyalty in the first place. Isn't "loyalty" a two-way street? 3. It's the principle of the matter. How can a gaming company turn their back on an entire fan base that propelled them to stardom? Do you support/not care about what's happening here? You'd fit right in a Game of Thrones episode. All in all... As an Xbox owner... This sucks!

      • Maybe, just maybe, Sony wanted Destiny to be exclusive for all their money as part of their contract. Then Bungie compromised with Exclusives, because they wouldn't turn their back on the Xbox community. Even though they needed the funds. Just a thought.

      • To be honest i am some what disapointed to hear they are giving exclusive in game content of a level and mission to only the playstation community. Your rant however is rather sad Lol maybe Microsoft should consider sending some money Activisions way I wana see what sorta rants Playstation 3 owners will have by Destiny 2 XD

      • The first point is so untrue its pathetic. Halo would have succeeded on any platform because it was a killer game. (I've been forced to state this too many times lately.)

        • you only have one reason stated three different ways. it you don't like it do something about it. Don't buy the game tell them with your wallet that this isn't an acceptable practice and the need to stop. I have it preordered and fully plan on enjoying the game but if you have some moral issue here do something about it. CoD gave preferential treatment to Xbox and when PS3 fans spoke out they were laughed at by Xbox fans. the way I see it it's like a console exclusive. you want Killzone for the Xbox? too bad. you want additional/early content in destiny on Xbox? too bad.

        •
Let me put this into a metaphor for you: Say there are only 3 types of people in the world, and they each wear a different color shirt. One type wears green, the other wears blue, and the last type wears both (just follow along, the last one doesn't actually matter too much, as they get the best of both worlds, they just spend a LOT of extra money on both styles of shirts). Now, it doesn't really matter who's who, as it's just a clothing choice. However, say you work for a restaurant that started out selling food to everyone, but the restaurant got bought out by a company that said "You will no longer sell food to those who wear blue shirts, only to those who wear green." After the transition, you restaurant comes up with a recipe that ends up being one of the best ever created. Everyone wearing green shirts is going to be ecstatic, while those wearing blue won't be able to enjoy it. Fast forward a 10 years, and your restaurant new recipe has been better than anyone could have ever dreamed about. Now, your managers find a way to get control back in their own restaurant, and leave the former owners behind. They still have the makings of that original recipe, but they want to make it better and different, something new. Remember, this is a business after all, and you know those who have eaten with you before (green shirts) will continue to eat at the restaurant. But how do you draw in the blue shirt wearers who have never had a taste of the food? You offer free samples. Put a big sign out front that says "Welcome all those who wear blue! Come try our new menu, free sample included, and you can even try our new recipe first!" It's a good business tactic. Bring in new customers and offer them an incentive. Those who have eaten at your restaurant before know how good the food can be, and most will stick with it. Others may switch shirts just to get a taste of the new food first, but in the end, everyone makes out the same. TL:DR Moral of the story: Dude, chill. We all get it in the end.
I'm going to copy and paste this into every post I see about people complaining that PS is getting shit earlier than XB. I've been a 'green shirt' guy much more so than a 'blue shirt', and i'm actually happy Bungie is welcoming their potential new fan base with open arms, as do I.

• Do you honestly think that if Halo was on that PS that things would be any different? Get over it.

        • If anything, I'm just jealous of that sweet Warlock gear you PS4 players get. I want SO bad! And of course the Alpha, but I'll just head over to my buddies house and play it. Problem solved.

        • That is one reason, worded 3 different ways. It's also incredibly naive and doesn't look at the big picture. Sony said, "here's a ton of money to help hedge your $500M bet, give us a few tidbits" and they did. It's a sound business decision and one that every single person here would make if they found themselves looking at that massive, potential company-destroying money hole. All in all... as an X1 owner... I see a minor business move.

        • Shut the -blam!- up. your just butt hurt that Microsoft pushed away your beloved bungie. Creators of halo. Only good exclusive to Xbox. And there's not any other next gen console so where were they supposed to go? To show their true potential they created destiny and said -blam!- you Exbox, ps users get alpha and a sick ass bundle package. Xbox is doing horrible so far in this new generation of games. They -blam!-ed up with every aspect of their console and its release. They go back on everything they said. Don't be mad bro. The game will come out for Xbox. but bungie prefers PlayStation. It'll get easier once you accept it and learn to live with the fact the company that created the game you love, does not love you.

        • They shouldn't be mad at all... They are getting the game so be happy with what they get. Bungie is a Sony FanBase now. Xbox Players need to head over to the 343 site. You will Be much happier there.

          • Xbox owners are like bad ex's. They dated bungie for years, got laid, then kicked to the curb for hot stuff playstation who bungie saw it had a bigger dick, and f*cked it the first night. Moral to the story, get over it xboxers. Life goes on.
