Destiny Alpha and Beta + More
PS4 gets the Alpha 12/06/2014. Here's the url for it: http://playstation.greatnessawaits.com/destiny.html
The Beta launches on PlayStation 17th of July.
PS gamers get bonus content, a Strike mission, armoury, vehicles, and a game type. Thankfully for Xbox gamers, most if not all of this is probably just timed exclusives.

4 RepliesPerspective - it's a blam! A few hours ago I was on top of the world, excited about all the things that were coming out on the X1. With this latest announcement, the shine has been tarnished. But why should it be? To PS4 owners, may the Alpha and Beta (timed-exclusive) tests go well. While I may be Xbox-green with envy, it's part of the business. Deals are made and we the consumers get swept up in the excitement or left out in the cold. Either way, it's not the first time nor will it be the last. This is par for the course if you're a sports fan. Even now I'm sure Cleveland feels the burn as it remembers "The Decision." We feel betrayed as fans as our teams are dismantled that we've cheered on for so long. On the flip side, the joy and enthusiasm is palpable for those fans whose teams have brought home championships in recent memory. In fact, those memories linger... Halo has been a fantastic franchise for the Xbox. As part of the community, I celebrate it as well as celebrate the opportunity to be a part of a new world in Destiny. Would it be great to play the Alpha this weekend? Sure. Is it going to wreck my life if I can't? Nope. I got my eye on the prize, and that prize is September 9th. And in reality if that prize moves a little to the right and it's October or later (it won't be, I'm just saying) it's all good. Life will go on. Again, hats off to Sony and PS4 owners out there. But most of all, hats off to Bungie - thanks for making games about which we as gamers can be passionate. JTS

1 ReplyI don't want to be THAT guy, but man, it sure does suck that I won't be able to play the alpha, or the beta when PS4 gets it. I just don't have the money for both consoles and enjoyed the Xbox One's launch titles more. Kind of a shame. Been throwing my money at Bungie for over a decade, and now I feel like an idiot. :(
