Depends on the game, setting, and playstyle. I usually never use the same name twice.

Jay, Charlemagne, or Sicron. Jay - If the character is like me and usually for games which take place in the present or future. (Mass Effect, Pokemon, Persona) Charlemagne - A more recent choice for games that either have a fantasy setting and/or are in the past (or at least a medieval era, like TES or Dark Souls. I'll most likely be using this in Destiny). Sicron - Usually for futuristic characters, but I have used it in one fantasy game. (Skyrim, Mass Effect)

My username/gamertag usually. Sometimes I'll get creative and create a name like those found in the OP.
