To be fair you don't need to enforce games by age unless they are 18 and over. As there would be major reasons for it such as Dead Space had horror and gore etc. Destiny could get spooky, but never gory.

Pretty sure that most M rated games like Call of Duty and Halo would've been screwed a long time ago if on one under 17 could play...just saying.

Well then it sucks that I am 16 and have proved to be more respectful and responsible than my average squeaker counterparts. I don't think all under 17s should be banned as there are many who play respectfully although I cannot say for sure about all those under 10 playing 17+ games. My birthday is close to release anyway so your law would be no issue. But regardless. Age is no issue. Maturity is.

1 ReplyFind mature people to role with in your Fire Team. Problem solved. Trolls will run in fear when they see the kind of epic gear you and your Fire Team have amassed. On a side note. It would be funny if some how there was a system in place that detected trolls and allowed them to be targeted and shot by other players. I'm just saying it would be hilarious, not that it should be done.

2 RepliesSure, lets allow our rights and freedoms to game be infringed upon by a 3rd party company. Microsoft already does so why not let a company that places ratings on games do it too? Parents are irresponsible and should have cameras taped to their heads that must be on 8 hours a day. (sarcastic tone)

2 RepliesThe game industry would not approve of such because it cause a wreck in sales for all game company's. It's the parents decision to let there kid play the m rated game and it works fine that way. But going to jail because because your kid played a m rated game is ridicules.

I've actually heard rumors that someday video games might be regulated like Tobacco and Alcohol are. Personally I wouldn't mind this, being 24 and all, but it could really hurt the industry. The fact if the matter is that even though rated M games are meant for older persons, a very large sum of the profits that keep these company's afloat comes from purchase for people under the age of 17. The reality is that there will never be a sure fire way to keep youngsters off of mature games, and it's something that older people will have to deal with. Be mature, use the mute feature. Don't let the younger demographic spoil the game for you.
