This happened while I was helping someone with grandmaster derealize.
They didnt seem to change the modifiers at all. This isnt the conquest.
This was never a problem in any other mission except this one.
I kill some random rank-and-file dread with Mint Retrograde, reload, and I have killshot.
I see the perk, I know its there and I loaded it.
I switch to psi aeterna to draw out the grim's barrier. Done.
I switch to mint, killshot is still active, I pull the trigger and the entire 3-round burst is deflected off.
I was aiming directly at the grim. I know I didnt miss.
I know for a fact that "Overload Shot" from the artifact is not overriding killshot because killshot still functions in shooting range with said perks equipped.
What in derealize is causing killshot to not do its one job?
I did notice something odd in the shooting range and it gave me a theory.
When using killshot mint on a hive barrier knight, the first shot of the 3-round burst is deflected off.
The champs in derealize were noticeably stronger than the ones in the shooting range.
Perhaps the champs in derealize are strong enough to deflect the entire burst?
Which raises another question...
Why is any barrier champ deflecting even a single hit from killshot at all? Killshot should pierce, and fully pierce, like every anti-barrier effect does.

Edited by Titan: 3/18/2026 9:25:03 PMi think the killshot shot have nothing to do with your 3 burst etc , its a single bullet with fix damage which comes out as soon as you fire and is supposed to stun immediately, but as you say When the difficulty level is higher, the bullet ricochets instead of stunning, and this has nothing to do with hives, vexes, etc. This bug occurs all the time in GM's Vanguard alert. btw if it ricochet directly on you your insta dead no matter your damage resist overshield etc your dead
