I think bungie has abandoned D2 in its entirety. Cheaters are in almost every lobby now and nothing gets done when you and your team reports them. Before wed get the message saying thank you and action has been taken but now, you can sit for days after reporting someone and still see them in game doing the same cheats. Bungie doesnt care anymore.

It’s not dead. It’s resting!

Edited by NotCreative123: 3/12/2026 9:38:13 PMI played Comp and Control the last 3 days and haven't noticed a single cheater. IF YOU DON'T HAVE EVIDENCE, YOU ARE SPREADING MISINFORMATION. Seriously, please include what you saw, so we can discuss it. At the very least, you might help someone who doesn't know what to look for. If you don't have evidence or get it wrong, it hurts the cause, because it does one of several things. 1) Makes people blame cheating even when it is not there 2) Allows "real" cheaters to hide (if you report everyone, it makes it harder to pick out the real cheaters) 3) Causes players to confuse "good" play with "cheating"

1 ReplyCheaters have always been in pvp or else they cannot compete with the top players , look at the pvp streamers . You think they are legit ? Btw destiny 2 has always been a pve game . Marathon is a pvp game and that is why cod streamers are playing it . I never saw cod streamers play destiny 2 or even crucible .

There's a PVP in this game?
-
5 Repliescheaters are everywhere. makes me want to go back to console.

Nah not dead ! Haven’t played fo over a week and jumped in yesterday . Could games and it’s still the petal people still playing control full time even though it’s trash now ! Zero rewards , you gain nothing from a win and it’s still the dam meta weapons ….its new 8-9 months of the same thing . Just boring and every round now is predictable. Not going name names but why are people still pumping in 20 - 30 games a day ….get help 😂

1 ReplySo sad, now there's really nothing to do in Destiny 2.
-
I agree. 10+ year destiny player here. Help me and my movement to spread the word for Marathon to add a “pvp arena mode.” The gunplay is so sick
-
1 ReplyIt's been dead for many, many years. Who the hell still plays Destiny PvP?
-
I still get games! It's not as fast as it used to be, but it isn't a half hour between matches or anything. There is really no point in playing it other than a chance at some pretty cool T5 guns, but none of them are best in class right now. If it makes you feel better, my favorite part of D2 was Gambit. Yeah.

People are being careless and brazen.. Sometimes the honey pot is filled with snares instead of honey

Edited by Marvelman9007: 3/11/2026 4:03:25 PMDestiny is dead, we all know it. It makes me sad that one of my favorite games is dieing before my eyes, I’ll be playing some other game until we get new content
-
1 ReplyThey never cared. Even at peak player pop cheating was rampant
-
Same here , just really annoyed by that, not playing now for few days and hoping to shelf it until summer when new content arrives. Got Marathon but seems like waisted money, put few hours but extraction shooter is not really for me or most Pve Destiny players. All streamers glazing it but all of them running stack pvp players only.
-
Aaaaah... No. It's low pop for sure but neither it's dead nor is it more cheaters than before. Imho. Business as usual. I face pretty much the same bunch of people again and again. Take care!
-
3 RepliesSo long as it's official, maybe Bungie should just do away with the mode altogether and focus on the PvE aspect of the game.

How many teams were playing Trials this weekend again? 9?
