How long is a 'temporary restriction' for a network issue?

As title says. I have been banned since June 2024 and a recent support update has told me that the "remaining time on your temporary restriction will remain unchanged". This is my first and only suspension/restriction/warning of the sorts.. so it seems absurdly long for it to still be ongoing nearly two years later? I have been told to use this time to "thoroughly investigate and improve your connection's long-term stability" - and it's been over a year. Surely it isn't meant to be this long?

Hey there, the email response is definitely giving mixed messages. A 'not so fast' message on login is a permaban, it never expires (though in the system it is marked as 500 years so temporary in a way I guess). Permabans are NOT placed for connection-related issues, those can only cause a matchmaking restriction, which last from two weeks to two months. You can still play the game while these are in effect, so it sounds like you've got a permaban.

  • What exactly does it say/do when you try to play?
