...From a Filthy Casual #5

Bungie, Another entry from me on the suggestions that are crowding my brain. We will focus this entry on Warlocks. We will discuss adding new supers, melees, and an aspect. Let's start. Strand Broodweavers need a second super and melee. We will keep with their theme of community. The super is called Hordespawn. This super is in the realm of support. The Broodweaver will levitate through the battlefield, similar to Stormtrance or Winter's Wrath. However, they can only through Threadling grenades, at an increased recharge rate (similar to Apotheosis Veil). Meanwhile, within a certain radius, the Warlock emits strand energy to allies granting them Woven Mail and allowing all damage they deal to periodically spawn a Threadling. This is a super that grows in power with more allies in range. For this super, I borrowed from Path of Exile's Vaal Summon Skeletons. The Vaal ability of this skill unleashes a horde of skeletons to surround and assault the enemy. The goal of this super is similar, in that your allies, as long as they are dealing damage, will assist you in spawning many Threadlings, while you are lobbing Threadling grenade after Threadling grenade. This can help to thin out a rival horde or overwhelm a single target. I will admit, the Woven Mail part may be too much. I leave that to you. The melee will be something rather simple (in my mind). It is Tangle Toss. The Warlock makes a tangle and hurls it. That is it. The tangle will inherit any adjustments to tangles the Warlock is already making. Naturally, this melee will bypass the tangle cooldown. Stasis Shadebinders also need a second super and melee. We will continue to use their staff with each of these abilities. The super is a burst super similar to Chaos Reach called Blizzard. The Warlock will channel a large diameter stasis storm that does not freeze or slow but just deals massive damage over time. The Warlock can direct the storm with their reticle. While channeling, give the Warlock max Frost Armor for survivability as they will be out in the open. The melee is Cone of Cold. The Warlock pushes their hand forward and casts a cone that applies 60 slow stacks and deals moderate damage. Perhaps pushing the targets back a few meters but not as aggressive as Pocket Singularity. The cone could have half the reach of Ball Lightning. Void Voidwalkers need another aspect and another melee. We will stick to entropy and spherical destruction. For the aspect, we will take the recent artifact mod Void Infestation and turn it into our aspect. But it will work differently. As the Warlock uses their abilities, they will store these weakening projectiles. They could visually orbit the Warlock, similar to Perched Threadlings. The cap will be 5 or 6. When you generate a new seeker while at max, the oldest seeker will be launched at enemies. Casting your Rift or your super will unleash all stored seekers, which are designed to target different targets. If there are none, then it can target the same target. These seekers will deal some damage on top of weaken. The melee can be a purple-flavored Celestial Fire. It can cause moderate damage and make the target volatile. Solar The aspects Icarus Dash and Heat Rises should just be combined. I cannot see a situation where you would use one without the other. This forces players into choosing these two together or be half the Warlock they want to be. Combine these and create a new fourth aspect. An aspect can be created that capitalizes on Scorch damage. Something like if a target dies while Scorched or has suffered at least 50 Scorch stacks of damage, they spread Scorch to nearby targets. Giving Warlocks built-in Incandescent. A way to burn the whole world. This is all I have for Warlocks. Let me know what you think. -Colo

  • everything you’ve stated is accurate good information bungee is done with destiny 2, there will never be any new supers Looks like they’re just going to leave the servers up and keep taking us through the seasons with the season events as the different content for the quarter Maybe the occasional secret mission which would be something like invert expire strike only start from the end and run to the front so it appears like it’s a new map something like that It will be the same boss with a different skin, and the boss will spam three times the amount it used to with the damage phase being broken up into sections, potentially a timer that’s all we’re getting
