You don’t get tier 3 drops when you’re doing tier 5 dropping content. You shouldn’t be able to play lower tier content to upgrade it to the high tier stuff.

Not what I’m saying. I’m saying if you get the god roll you want at Tier 3, you should be able to consume a Tier 5 weapon (or equivalent materials) to upgrade it. As is, everyone has to grind through the lower tiers every season, so they will inevitably get god rolls at those tiers, which will suck if you have to regrind them.

All that would do is incentivize grinding easier content to get the roll and then using the upgrade materials to get it to tier 5.
