Exotic class item SCAM!
I’ve gotten Ophidian at least a dozen times.
Caliban? Zero. Synthoceps? Zero. Assassin, maybe once. I wonder if it’s a coincidence that I get more crap perks than good one? Duh, Bungie at it’s finest.
I swear this is the last DLC I ever buy, this game is a scam.

I’ve given up, I don’t bother with them anymore. That system is designed to get you to gamble. I have a really good friend that all he does is farm for the godrolled warlock bond. He wants to play other games, but the hook is in and the slow reel is on….

If I had a dollar for every assassins/ wormhusk I’ve gotten, I’d be able to buy Bungie and force them to give me better rng :)

I am sure bungie weighted some higher than others with RNG values. Overall, this exotic really just pushes the builds to be vastly different as most will never have all of the rolls to utilize. Which feels bad for many players not to either get the roll they want or to play with the different versions of each.

A random rolled item where you can get the same rolls more than once if you are unlucky with rng. It's not a scam, just bad luck

The game is literally a MMORPG grinding is the #1 thing you should expect to do. It has ALOT of possible rolls, and if you get unlucky it is what it is. When something doesn’t go your way in real-life you dont go and complain. If we look at this realistically Bungie has 2 options Make it so the item is craftable and that leads to only 1 situation later down the line and thats when people wanna start playing and get this useful item they will have a harder time acquiring it just like how hard it can be to find people for the Exotic missions that rotate weekly. Leading to players eventually complaining, as well would likely lead to players complaining about something with its crafting requirments OR They keep it how it is now where its just RNG you are just as likely to get a useless roll to a useful roll and the activity almost always has people in it so new players can have no issues getting the item and grinding it as well ensuring the activity is active. The only improvements they could make is adding more rolls. As for the people saying “why make bad rolls” the answer is why only make good/god rolls? Its a MMORPG if there weren’t niche or not as good rolls then everything would eventually be overpowered. Gotta look at these things from a game health standpoint

1 ReplyMy very first drop was Caliban/syntho, was great but I [b]REALLY[/b] wanted caliban/liers. Well tonight I finally got it. It only took about 400 drops to get it. Next on the list is Galanor/star eater, if that takes another 400 or so to drop I think I might check myself into the nearest insane asylum.

I got caliban/syntho as the first drop.. Next 6 had foetracer. Kinda gave up after that. Warlock I've had no necrotic but I have got the aposi/stareater roll for boss damage. Titan - I can't bring myself to run the campaign again. If I did I would be looking for HoiL/syntho

IMO the exotic class item "grind" was intended to be a long term thing. It does feel like a bit of a whiff though, seems to annoy people more than anything else.

If you didn't see this coming from a mile away, then I don't know what to tell you. The second Bungie announced the Exotic Class Items would drop randomly, I knew it would be a nightmare for players to get the rolls they want.

I don't mind the class item grind. Sometimes after a long day at work I like to just shut my brain off and shoot things. So running around the pale heart and doing that, with a chance at a god roll class item sounds good to me. I don't always like sweating in a video game. To each their own though.

They should just add triumphs to dual destiny that permanently increase the drop rate like in every dungeon and raid they’ve ever made.
