Special ammo changes

Maybe it’s just me, maybe people don’t care enough. But I’m part of the crew that says -blam!- the new special ammo changes. I’m not a top tier player, I’m not a bottom tier. I just have played this game for a long -blam!- time. In that time I’ve seen when titans could one shot shoulder charge, hunters could shatter dive my -blam!- and warlocks had two Icarus dashes on base. Throughout it all, I could bet that if I shot them, I could win. If I positioned well, I would get them. Abilities or not, special ammo for them or not. It was up to at least having to learn how to switch guns for the right time for the right approach. I’m not saying that a straight liner with a shotgun in his hands takes skill. But if all these changes are because we are all “so skilled” we already knew how to deal with apes, you back up and use your primary. The changes have only accentuated how much we use shotguns. And it’s not going to go back to the way it was tell it’s reversed. It’s now more up to melee people and team shooting. It’s less skill not more. Snipers are dead, fusions are too. You’ve sunset special ammo weapons. And for what.

  • Destiny isn't like it used to and sadly enough it probably never will be. They fired all the people who actually cared and knew how to run the game and now we're in this horrible horrible state of pvp.

  • I’ve also played for a while and I too do not like the methods Bungie has implemented with this weird, Frankenstein ammo system. However, the current state of PvP would not be like this without consistent complaints. When we switched from the two free kills on spawn to a meter system, PvP was healthy because it encouraged primary gameplay. However, “casuals” complained 24/7, so Bungie implemented a horrible crate system (completely unlike d1) and then tried to combine all three together to satisfy the lowest tier of players while also making the higher tiers not feeling bored. They failed obviously.
