Trials suck Bungie. It's the worst matchmaking you've ever made....
Remove cbmm if your algorithm cannot make decent matchmaking.
Solo isn't working, it did a couple of seasons before. But now it's just impossible to even get 3 wins.. without buying through your mercy card faster than you can say "Trash of osiris"
And being a fireteam is even more hell on earth. Meeting ppls with 2.5+ kd in trials and sky high elos. Wtf is going wrong. And then when you leave with that fireteam to play comp, it's going alot better. But in comp there's no rewards. And apparently being above average in comp, means NOTHING when you go into trials, cause there you meet the top 1%... super funny.
Let the top 1% sweat in trials and bring back sbmm, so the average player can have abit of breathing room..
And make the adept weapon drop when you either get 7wins or reach the 50points. It's grindy and infuriating even to reach those points.

2 RepliesYou only have to go 7-2 on the new mercy card. Since MM is random and not card based, any player above a 1.0 typically can make it flawless with enough matches played.

I just matched into a game which gave me less than a third connection strength. Freelance solo should come back. The current system, while not completely unplayable, is visibly worse than before. I don't believe SBMM will fix anything, I believe it would be worse for most personally. CBMM with team balancing and seperate pools for console/PC would likely be the best solution imo. Final thing is better moderation for cheaters. I have rarely ran into actual hackers but the amount of people on console using 3rd party devices is bad and getting worse by the day. Anyone exploiting aim assist, recoil control or using a script for crouch spamming should be shown the door.

It took 4 years for them to make 1 new map and that’s only because the players were getting louder and louder about their complete disregard for PvP. Let’s face it. 1 ReplyPopulation issue… Players dip out faster in this playlist every single season. Your seeing the same effects of skill creep in the playlist. Virtually ALL casuals, pve mains, and low to slightly above average players quit trials. It’s just bottom of the barrel players and hardcore sweats playing trials now. Your NOT getting flawless, unless you have the skill to back it up. I HIGHLY suggest you stop playing trials permanently. This happens EVERY season, and the amount of time it takes for trials to become unplayable happens earlier each season. Trials isn’t worth your time.

Reason why you are being matched like that is because the game cannot find lobbies for you so it finds the next best thing

2 RepliesAverage players can have a rough time with trials. Adepts should definitely become something more people can get. However that happens is up to the people that really care about the me factor of adepts 10 years (and hundreds of thousands of kills for some of them) after the game came out.

16 RepliesEdited by magister1001: 11/4/2023 9:47:53 PMIt’s a self cannibalising player pool that leads to better and better players (or cheating ones) being the only ones that can play with a reasonable expectation of going flawless. That is its very design basis. If you aren’t really good then don’t expect to go well. I suck but sacrifice myself to the pvp warlords to get a few bits of armor to transmog and a few guns that may help in PvE. The only week that I go ok (maybe 3 wins a row) is when the weekly challenge is trials which sucks some more potatoes like me in. If that wasn’t there why would you even play it as a mediocre PvPer? 3 or 4 0-5s in a row and you go stuff it - I’ll try again next season maybe. The only lure as an average / below average player is some loot you can grind out and anyone just above average and not great needs lots of players like me to go flawless or they are just going to have the same experience of getting destroyed.

It's not impossible to get 3 wins. Just another kid trying to get free handouts because they don't want to take the time to improve to earn it. The gamemode isn't trash, you are.

3 RepliesAhh remember the time in Destiny pvp when pulse rifles ruled, then they made HCs meta, where you pretty much had to learn to use one to do well….well those times are gone….bows, SMGs, fusions and ridiculous abilities… Its not just trials, its pvp….enjoy it for what it is

So long as the pop is down and Freelance doesn't exist, the matches there will always hit a wall regardless of whether you're solo, in a team, on your first or even on your LH match. They just need to give reg Trials the axe like how they did to the Trials of the Nine, and invest all in to Comp instead.

They couldn't care less about PVP. It makes them no money and is such a small cog in a big machine. Destiny has become all about money making in the PVE sector,micro transactions, dungeon keys, season pass, and the list goes on, its really sad to see as it's completely changed what destiny was and what it made so playable and enjoyable, i think thats why so many people loved D1. It was simple, straight forward and you knew what you were getting when you parted with your cash,now its just a complete mess and a mash up of so much unusuable and irrelavnt content (mainly micro transaction items) that it's to far gone to save...apart from Eververse, that will always be saved!

I love how they completely ignore how OP and broken snipers are. You can beam a player constantly to the head with a pulse or an auto rifle - still a headshot. Absolutely broken. Their flinch increase may work when they test internally, but on p2p connection - it doesn't work AT ALL!

50 points is 4 wins on a single card. SBMM kills the mode and makes a double mercy flawless have a 10.98% chance and a 0 mercy flawless have a 0.78125% chance of happening. You are clearly just bad at the game, SBMM is not a solution just because you cant do well. The mode is made for skilled players to test their skill against skilled players, so bad you have to go against skilled players in a mode made for them. All you want (like most casuals) is for the game to be easy because you cant cope with PvP having an endgame mode for sweats. Casuals have already f-ed up trials, just stop.

Also SBMM would not fix that issue. The whole point of trials is to win 7 in a row. SBMMs whole point is to enforce/induce a 50/50 win rate. So no. At that point you can take out the playlist if you decide to put SBMM in it because nobody will play it. They gave you an extra mercy/loss allowed for your card. It’s actually a lot easier to go flawless now since that change. Why do you deserve a handout? Why do you deserve an adept weapon? You haven’t gone flawless for it. Get better and try again. Stop asking for handouts and try to improve.
