So the requirement for guardian rank 9 is 85 exotic weapons, and the rank resets every season. Currently you can grind 1 exotic cipher per account every week. If you get all of the exotic drops from the world pool, you will be lacking 20+ weapons, making it a 20 week grind, which would be longer than the season. The point of the guardian rank is to show that you understand the game mechanics and challenges the higher you go, this requirement requires none of the above, it is basically time-gated requirement that preventes some players from advancing eventough they would have the requirements met for the later ranks. It is not in line with the other requirements, since it is not actually something you can actively work towards. The armor requirement (which is really low) you can farm out in lost sectors. The weapon requirement: nope. Even with all the raid exotics and the ones in the loot pool you will still be left wanting, so whats up with this?
