Bubbles are Redundant

Bubbles are Redundant. Ever since the damage buff nerf for Bubble titans, Well of Radiance is objectively better in most situations. Why is that? 1. Bubbles are less convenient In order to get the 25% damage buff you have to enter and exit the Bubble. Warlocks can pop down their Well of Radiance and nobody has to move a muscle 2. Bubbles provide less benefits Bubbles do not simultaneously provide protection and the damage buff outside of the Bubble. (Even if you're using Helm of Saint-14, the overhshield will not regenerate unlike your health from standing inside a Well of Radiance) I'd be curious to see if the usage rate of Bubbles has gone down over time since the nerf. The best way Titans can contribute to DPS for boss fights is to throw on Thundercrash and Curiass of the Falling Star (Which doesnt work for many encounters), or to not play Titan. If Bubble had a 30% damage buff, Well of Radiance would still be as important to fireteams as they are today. The health regeneration Wells provide is often the only way to survive when everything is shooting at you during your DPS phases. Until Bubbles offer a bigger damage buff than Well of Radiance, Bubbles are redundant.

  • In pvp I challenge you to kill a bubble titan that stays in the bubble without a super. How many options do you have besides witherhoard.

      • Bubble shouldn’t buff weapon damage directly. That is part of the solar identity. Instead, it should provide weaken/suppressing/volatile rounds to weapons. Not just void weapons.

        • Bring glasshouse back, but rework it to give you blessing and weapons of light when near and inside the bubble for an extended period.

        • Have you considered maybe bubbles aren't meant to do what wells do? Weird I know. Different super for entirely different situations. Learn to use it better.

        • Tbh they should replace Well entire with an updated version of OG Radiance. While self res is cool, I know it would make people cry their lil eyes out so I’d take unlimited ability energy with empowered abilities, not weapons. The aura could extend to Allie’s granting them greatly increased (not unlimited) ability regen along with a similar ability damage buff. The warlock could also get some healthy DR along with recovery during the duration of the super. It keeps the warlock mobile and give bubble its relevance back. It also makes damage phases a bit less trivial. A nice weapon buff from bubble, a nice ability buff from well, and no more standing still forever lmaoo. This is just my opinion, but fr I’m so tired of the passive play styleWell. It’s so damn boring and Daybreak hits like wet noodles. That’s why bubble is great tho. It’s not quite as passive as well. At least to me it isn’t

          • Yeah. I don’t know why they reduced the buff that bubble gave. I was in a raid last week and someone popped a bubble for a DPS phase and I just thought, “Why would I walk into that?” I just don’t get the point. Well was already better in nearly every scenario for PvE before the nerf but bubble was still somewhat useful.

            • You may hate this, but Bubble is at times better than Well in PvP scenarios. Gambit for one, you can bubble around the prime evil and wail in them with swords and an invader can do very little about it. Bubble also makes capturing zones much safer in PvP like Trials. So it has its places, but not as many since you can’t shoot out of it, and there is no damage related benefit over Well.

              •
I have been Sentinel since it’s been called Defender back in Destiny 1. This Subclass should be the definition of “TANK” and no other class should be able to take as much damage as the Sentinels. While it is also a tank class it is also a support class but not similar to the Dawnbreakers. Sentinels specialize in Over-Shields and currently Over-Shields are absolutely terrible and they offer little to no support in true end game activities. Sentinel Rework: Ward of Dawn: - Increase Armor of Light health - Remove Weapons of Light - Adds “Armaments of Light” Armaments of Light: The Ward of Dawn generates ammo for any ally that is inside of the Ward of Dawn. ( Every 10 seconds spawns a special brick, every 15 seconds spawns a heavy brick ) Replacing Weapons of Light with Armaments of Light would incentivize people to actually use Banner Shield and not be a liability at the same time. Banner Shield: - Increases damage boost to 50% up from 40% Sentinel Melee: - Shield Bash suppression actually works and the Over-Shield lasts until it is destroyed - Shield Toss Over-Shield lasts until it is destroyed - Adds another melee: Shield Pack Shield Pack: Charge this melee ability to toss an pack on the ground that provides allies with a Void Over-Shield. Over-Shield lasts until it is destroyed. Sentinel Class Ability: - Towering Barricade now absorbs damage and negates AoE - Rally Barricade now absorbs damage and negates AoE Bastion Aspect: - Casting your Super grants nearby allies a Void Over-Shield that lasts until it is destroyed - Void Over-Shields have increased strength - Casting your Barricade grants a Void-Overshield to yourself and neaby allies that lasts until it is destroyed and empowers it, enabling it to slowly regenerate the Void Over-Shield of allies bunkering behind it
• It does t make much sense to me why they even decided to nerf it in the first place. I get the lower cooldown on the super, but it now sits in the same niche as a super that does the same thing but better.

I would love them to touch up supers amongst all three classes. It’s really frustrating for any class to be reduced to being able to only run one subclass and super in raids after putting so much time into making a build for another.

                      • I'd keep bubble for what it is, has some viability. But improve Sentinel Shield instead. My suggestion, reduce the rate which it consumes ones super, but make it slower movement, URSA could then make it move at normal pace (among other benefits). Welcome to critique this idea.
