The only thing sbmm favors is fairer fights. If you are used to rolling up in control and dropping 4.0+ KD every match as a ‘casual’ experience, it means you were used to being matched with ALOT of folks below your skill level… and their experiences were most likely crappy and since there are way more of them it is in Bungie’s best interest to even the playing field.
Not saying I don’t have sympathy for crappy connections and long waits (and maybe Bungie has it tuned too tightly to start out)… but this kind of attitude IS part of the problem.
Bungie doesn’t owe anyone easier matches because they want a casual experience… they owe everyone more fair matches more often. What a high skill person sees as ‘easier’ is really just allowing lower skill player room to grow without getting farmed/spawn trapped and or spending most of the match waiting to respawn which feels like crap and kills player retention.
