For the past 5-6 seasons or so, it has seemed like Bungie has really bent over backwards to help the regular ole “Jim” in this games PvP scene.
To clarify completely on where I stand with this, I think this would be perfectly fine; if they didn’t just crap on any and all the dedicated players’s hopes and dreams at the same time.
Perfect example: Stomp-EE5 rework, while Ophidian Aspect is around the same usage; and Ophidians received a bit of a buff.
Some more examples: Freelance ruins the pool of players each week in trials, just due to the fact people are too lazy to try and find a team. Competitive has been just as difficult as trials due to earlier implementation of SBMM. Cheese loadouts run more amuck then they ever have before. Fusions are far too overtuned, I mean do I need to continue?
The point being that I’m trying to make, the game is becoming far too easy to do well in PvP.
The more dedicated players need to be listened to just as much as all the casuals.
Someone who plays PvE all day, shouldn’t be able to come into PvP and do well with a certain weapon simply because of how overtuned it is. (I’m looking at you Likely Suspect and Xur’s ingredient)
I’m not saying that PvP should feel 100% competitive, because this game isn’t mean to be that. The least that could be done though, is for some actual skill gap to stay in this game. There’s no need to lessen that gap to please the regular casuals of this game in PvP.
TL;DR- Casuals are being listened to too much in terms of PvP.

Edited by Zoidberg: 5/21/2022 6:06:13 PMTurn on SBMM and the sweats will be back on here. "My matches are to sweaty all the time". Blame your fellow top end players for easy crucible. Not the less skilled people. Those players have to run the worst loadouts just to compete because they are thrown in way above their weight class.

6 RepliesOn a serious note, the fact you find it so easy shows you need a new challenge. Destiny as an arena shooter is a joke, bad maps, no support, awful crossplay, peer to peer, no incentive, crazy high aim assist, lots of ohk abilities and weapons, no sbmm, there's nothing about it that shows skill, nothing. Look at it like this, it's the ONLY game where multiple people in every lobby have 5,6,7 lifetime kdrs across hundreds of thousands of kills. Most are either naive, or live in a bubble, but they're playing young kids and granddad's. Imagine flexing at age 20 coz you beat a 5yr old or a 78 yr old in anything, but in destiny they post it on twitter lol. No disrespect meant here, hope you take it the right way

3 RepliesYou lost the moment you brought up stompees. They are literally not getting nerfed if you're any decent at the game. -50 aim assist in air only means you actually have to aim instead of spamming jump and shoot as fast as you can. If you can't still use stompees after the change and do well then sorry champ you were never good, you were being carried by aim assist as you bounced from the ground to the roof down and back up again in 2 frames.

Perhaps maybe we can have a PvP environment in which casuals can play and have fun?
-
Mad that Stomp-EE5 are getting nerfed, got it.

4 RepliesAs casual players make up the majority of the players base why shouldn't Bungie pay attention go them. Not everyone can play for hours each day most of us have things like a life which means we have other things we need to do like work, family and looking after a household. Playing a game is a hobby which we indulge when we can.

8 Repliescasuals have been asking for SBMM PVP mains wanted CBMM for a casual experience bungie listened to the PVP mains and most modes are CBMM which means the top % of players get to stomp casuals but also means they will have casuals on their team that they have to carry this post sounds like you want your cake and to eat it too. ie. you want good teammates and easy opponents.

Edited by hate n payne: 5/18/2022 8:30:36 PMSBMM? Does that ring a bell?? Pepperidge Farm remembers. Without casuals in this game, you could get the esports league most of you desire but then again, SBMM gave that to you and most of you cried. It is not up to Bungie to provide a challenge for you initially in a shooter especially when it comes to PVP. Anti-META is calling your name.

19 RepliesEdited by Soupreem: 5/18/2022 9:11:14 AM"Casuals ruin the game!" Are all clones of the following loadout: 1. Hand Cannon, one of the ones that's more overpowered than the others like Palindrome or Ace. 2. Some form of pellet shotgun, generally a Lightweight. 3. They run Hunter, any sub will do. 4. They have the Crutch Boots permanently affixed to their feet. 5. Shaders are all completely greyscale, generally all black or all white. Get some originality before you complain, man.

Those darn casuals smh to think they want a balanced crucible. Fools
-
Handcanon shotgun player lectures us on what to use😂 sorry those guns are mad boring

10 RepliesDude you're a walking cliche right now. I could have guessed all this before I even looked at your account :) Hunter main ✓ PvP main ✓ Bungie store emblem equipped ✓ Handcannon equipped ✓ Shotgun equipped ✓ Stompees equipped ✓ Came to the forum crying after getting -blam!- on in crucible ✓ Clearly you spend a lot of time in twitch streams given you use the term 'jim' as a sleight, and it's 50/50 if you have a twitch channel with 2 viewers or not. It's the first time handcannon shotgun hasn't been the meta in about 7 years, you need to adapt or move on, it's like irl you adapt, you change, or you stay miserable living in the past. Try different shooters, improve, this games stale AF and it's on training wheels, you're not growing in any way by playing this game, be it skill wise or creation growth. If you're playing for fun, again, you're not having fun are you.

3 RepliesPvp players dont matter when it comes to pvp or this game in general only people who matter are the casuals everyone should know this by now
-
Your enjoyment isn't the priority.
-
1 ReplyIt’s cbmm which goes against every casuals wants in pvp , they are cannon fodder for the sweats.
-
TL;DR Casuals outnumber you 5 to 1.
-
1 ReplyWhen did this game enter a competitive scene again? Oh yeah it hasn’t so why care for this PvP trash?
-
1 ReplyEdited by Haters: 5/18/2022 1:24:18 AMThere’s no point to taking PvP seriously at all when it’s peer based connections.
-
That's cause only the "dedicated" players (no lifers) were playing PvP and the sweats and youtubers/twitch players were complaining that they only face sweats all the time and had no one to stomp cause the player pool was getting so low, so they opened it up to appease those people. Now people like you are complaining about casuals...

1 ReplyI agree with some of what you have to say about the weapons etc but as for the Freelance I disagree with you. I play Freelance because my clan doesn't do PvP precisely for some of the reasons you state. Therefore I'm either going to have to find an LFG that puts stipulations on KD and win rates because you have to be so "sweaty balls" to join and play with them and they haven't touched grass in two months they don't even give you a chance or just a good carry. Then you have the guys that want money for carries, yeah that's just stupid for D2 it's a game. I don't have to win that bad. Freelance gives me the chance to go to the Lighthouse on my own with random's. I would team up with others but some players take the game way too serious and they end up getting mad and who wants that baggage, getting blamed for losing when most of the time it's their own fault. So yeah Freelance is a good thing for us single players that are not sole PvE or PvP players. So I say go touch some grass and get some sun and quit being so sweaty playing a game.

17 RepliesIt should be obvious by now…. They do everything they can to enable bad players… game is balanced around empowering 0.5’s

6 RepliesAgree, fusions and lemonarch ruin everything.

Of course bungo are gonna go all in with the majority of the player base.....
