Edited by SirHeadPoppington: 11/18/2021 9:28:43 PMShoulder charge not one shotting, the best change ever made to Destiny thank -blam!- -blam!- for that 👏👏👏👏👏👏

Edited by SirHeadPoppington: 11/18/2021 9:42:09 PMAll sounds fantastic except yeah maybe hunter abilities weren't hit hard enough compared to other two classes
I play hunter
5 RepliesIn BF2043 you need 220 sniper kills to get a 10x sight. I would rather grind that out then do bounties, you know why? Because each match you play is different and something new happens. Hell BF2042 doesn’t have the best progression system but its infinitely better then Destiny 2, hell you have to work on each factions vehicle’s differently Basically bungies system sucks

7 RepliesEdited by Rickles: 11/18/2021 8:48:50 PMSomewhat sad about the hunter dodge... I'd have to use Mask of Bakris to dodge all those tracking projectiles now. On top of that, I'm not too fond of the Stasis hunter subclass. What's going to happen to Bakris dodge cooldown? It's going to be nearly half a minute per dodge. Ouch. Shinobu's Vow, my beloved, how you fall from grace. Grah! All these changes have ruined my builds! I bet you every hunter is going to use either stompies or dragons shadow now. Instead of trying to spec into a cool space magic ability, they'll rely solely on the dodge and the mobility and the recovery and the intellect. Oh... I grieve. A less BS and chaotic time will surely fall upon us. Instead, a boring time it will be. Edit: I think Bungie could maybe afford Bakris its PvE damage buff in PvP when the ability changes are implemented. Now, that probably sounds like it would be pretentious as hell, but hear me out. Dodge will be around ~30 seconds(with Bakris), depending on the dodge used by the hunter. Compare Bakris to Path of The Burning Steps. So, Steps provides a damage buff to solar weapons under many different circumstances, Bakris provides a damage buff to arc weapons(and increased damage to slowed targets). The Steps can be easily activated by either a kill with solar damage or becoming slowed or frozen. Bakris uses one ability to activate its damage buff, but that's on a nearly 30-second cooldown. If the current sandbox allows Steps to work in PvP, I think the sandbox with even fewer abilities can afford Bakris the same. Maybe... Of course, Bungie would tune the damage to prevent BS things from occurring with Bakris(one-shot body shot slug shotguns, snipers, etc.).

2 RepliesEdited by EMJzero: 11/18/2021 9:48:16 PMWhy the heck did you think we hunters dodged all the time? CAUSE IT BROKE PROJECTILE TRACKING!!!! Titan barricades can block incoming stuff, walock's puddles can give overshield, the only way an hunter can survive certain situations (example: point blank jotun or fusion granade) is thanks to the dodge being a dodge! Removing that crucial feature removes what makes the dodge equal to the other class abilities, and the feature that gave it it's name, because the truth is no skilled hunter used the dodge mainly to reload or recharge the melee, but as a movement tool and to actually DODGE! I'm absolutely fine with the recharge rate change, that we can reason about, but I CAN'T REASON WITH YOU IF YOUR SKILL AT THE GAME IS SO RUBBISH THAT YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND WHAT MAKES AN ABILITY FAIR IN REGARD TO IT'S EQUIVALENT IN OTHER CLASSES! Damn Bungie employees, understand what makes a playstyle worth it instead of just focusing on your raw numbers!

Good TWaB peeps! Did you know that saying poles rhymes with holes is a bannable offense? Cool

5 RepliesCan’t even take this game seriously anymore. Guess I’ll try the nerfed bs and take it from there, but feels like a good time to quit destiny for good. Pvp at least.
-
Kinda feel like chaos reach should also be tier 4. The whole reason to run that previously was to get your super before the other guy so you could shut him down. Geomag nerf saw an end to that but changing it to tier 4 would put it back in the right direction.

D3 Meta?! Imagine New profile activated, ? A character Hologram in distance, character, of brief skirmish. Then as a D3 Gaurdian I could interact. Consumer I am.
https://www.bungie.net/en/Explore/Detail/News/50829
The true definition of a sandbox in the IT world is a place where you test out everything until you roll it out to the productive environment In b speak it’s the live environment where rollouts/fixes are not properly tested Kind of like b rewards, you have to buy your reward from b, Webster’s is nowhere to be found in that office Otherwise thanks for the nerfs and enjoy a healthy down vote

1 ReplyEdited by CookieNiki: 11/18/2021 7:44:26 PM
Once Destiny 2 leaves Xbox Game Pass, players who don’t own any of the expansions on the Xbox platform will lose access to: Campaign missions. Expansion-specific activities: Raids, Dungeons, Hunts, Exo Challenges, Nightfall Strikes, and access to Trials of Osiris The Stasis subclass, which is Beyond Light-specific. The middle-tree Supers for each subclass. The 10% off perk for Silver purchases and other game add-ons.
I understand the blocking of activities and campaign missions but destroying the players subclasses, a core element of the game experience, is a totally scummy move. Many players won't even bother and will play WQ without stasis BUT many more will just leave the game. You're creating a fragmented experience just because of greed, as it's pretty obvious that's a decision based on trying to milk more money from players wallets. You could just unlock the subclasses for everyone that played Destiny through Gamepass, it's not like you can't know who they are. Also, you're making Forsaken free and removing the middle tree subclasses on Dec. 8th? How does that make any sense?

4 Replies🤦♀️ Even more reasons for me to stay out of Crucible! Yikes. Go play Trials if you want more skill based (presumably). Why not create a mode without abilities? A few more 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️ for good measure.

2 RepliesThank god Bungie actually nerfed Glacial Shard explosion damage rather then Shatterdive. Some players have bad understanding of this game
-
5 RepliesYou guys finally did it. You completely gutted titan in PvP. This class is pretty much effectively worthless now in crucible, great job bungie Way to listen to the community. We asked for sentinel super hit detection to be fixed and instead you increase the time of getting this super by almost twice as much. We asked for behemoth glacier quake to get more health or speed since it currently has the lowest health and armor resistance of all active roaming supers that aren’t golden gun. What did we get in return a diamond lance buff in PvE only. And it’s not even game changing. We asked for a better neutral game that isn’t all close range centric on melee. And what did you do you? You drastically nerf the only few melees that were worth using and didn’t buff ANYTHING relating to neutral game and nerfed heart of inmost light. We asked for more variety and viability in supers since bottom tree striker and bottom tree sunbreaker was a few of the only competitive supers and neutral game combo classes for the Titan and what did you do? You nerfed, shot, and pissed on the corpse of bottom tree striker. This development team really doesn’t care anymore.

12 RepliesI'm all for ability changes. They do play a little too much into PvP but this is kinda overkill. Like yall really nerfed firebolts? Really?
-
7 RepliesSounds like utter bullshit when they nerfed supers in the past…-blam!- pathetic…I didn’t see hardly any buffs…fix your game and separate pve from pvp….
-
Well guess I won’t be playing any Destiny when it leaves game pass then, as most of my paid for content is going to be in the content vault.
-
I do wonder if this was actually tested out instead of looking at numbers from data. I am definitely reminded of D2 vanilla. Well, let see how much PvP will get hurt next week.
-
This update is screwing Titans over the most.
-
BUFF SURPLUS These ability changes indirectly nerf one of the best new perks Surplus. So there needs to be an increase in the potency of its benefits per ability since we’ll, like, never have them now.
-
12 RepliesOh look a bunch of pve nerfs
-
Say goodbye to pvp builds...
-
I’m awestruck by how tone def this is. It’s like you people take one step forward and 18 steps back.
-
4 RepliesI usually don’t air my grievances EVER because I know it’s pointless. But. Who in the hell asked for these changes? Why is so much time and resources put into super small, niche PvP balancing? Sure a little sandbox refresher could be used every once in awhile, but who asked for this?? I’m no developer, but I think this effort could’ve have been put elsewhere…like reintroducing retired Crucible and Gambit maps. Or making new ones. This is just so embarrassing.

Edited by WifeAggro_AFK: 11/18/2021 8:32:55 PMSo - no more unlimited invisible hunters is what I'm seeing here? completely gutting nightstalker in pve potentially barring the 3.0 rework

To those that think flux grenade is the only one hit grenade in the game: read the twab again. They stated that alterations were coming to EVERY grenade and they only listed a few as examples. It is entirely reasonable to assume that the fusion grenades for both warlocks and titans will receive the same ohk capability.
