Gotta love when they rage delete their entire post.

Getting Game Pass for a single game, especially one liable to end up coming off it, is... silly.

Sounds like an ish-you

1 ReplyEdited by Error Code: Skill Issue: 11/17/2021 5:33:24 PMFrom the Game Pass FAQ:
Games will not be deleted from your hard drive until you delete them, even if they have been removed from the Xbox Game Pass library. However, once a game leaves the Xbox Game Pass library, you will need to purchase a digital copy from the Xbox app or the Microsoft Store, insert a disc, or obtain another form of entitlement to continue playing the game.
Games included in Game Pass change all the time. If you mainly play Destiny, you should have considered the monthly cost of Game Pass vs the cost of D2 and the expansions. You're not being asked to pay for the same game twice. You never paid for Destiny 2 or any of the expansions. You paid for a subscription that granted you access to "Play over 100 high-quality PC games on Windows PC." Since the game is being removed from Game Pass, you're only being asked to pay for D2 once.
-
Well its not just Destiny 2 your paying for. The $15 is to have access to all their games on gamepass so if you wanna play D2 then do what the rest of us have had to do for years and cough up the money for the game.
-
Sure, I had access to other games, but I mainly play Destiny. Now they're asking us to pay for it all again. Absolutely absurd.
No. This is not how you disprove a naysayer. The only thing absolutely absurd here is how you deluded yourself into thinking that you were only paying for Destiny when you bought the game pass. If you want to do the real math, divide the amount you paid per month for the amount of games you were getting access to and you’ll see you were only paying pennies for Destiny 2. Literally everyone knows gamepass always adds AND removes games so the only people who played from gamepass were those who just wanted to try out the game. Everyone else knew they would keep playing so they bought the game instead.

Not sure how this is remotely Bungies fault. Doesn’t gamepass remove content every month?
-
2 RepliesYou should have read into games come and go on the pass all the time. Bungie is doing nothing other do not do.
-
2 RepliesShould've done the math before you let Microsoft sucker you into game pass.
-
Been telling people forever about this and gamepass.. You can only be upset at yourself and Microsoft. Now, technically you are only losing access to the campaign of beyond light, the nightfall, stasis & raid.. What you got while playing is still “yours” outside of the staid subclass. Buyer beware with this live service focus and gamepass. Try a game out? Sure.. but after two months, you are only losing money after that via the subscription price and the small discount offered for a game on gamepass.
-
1 ReplyGame pass is also adding AND removing games. You knew this when you bought it so I don’t know what you are complaining about.
-
If you were only paying for GamePass to play Destiny 2, then I’m not sure what to tell you. That’s a horrible value. Once you realized you liked the game you could have saved so much more money by canceling Game Pass and buying Beyond Light and ShadowKeep. I had read that Beyond Light was leaving GamePass, I didn’t see ShadowKeep mentioned. I dunno. I don’t normally take issue with Bungie’s monetization and pricing in Destiny, but I do hope they do something for Game Pass players before Beyond Light leaves. Like set it so if you already unlocked Stasis on a character you can keep using it. Or maybe have a deeeeep discount to essentially keep the access key up for like $5-10. Because I would imagine at this point most people on Game Pass playing Destiny have beat the Beyond Light campaign and are more or less done with the content. Keeping access to all of it I don’t think is worth $30-40. Being able to keep playing Trials from 12/8 - 2/22 is definitely not worth that. It’s these players being most affected by what looks an awful lot like a contract between MS and Bungie for 12 months expiring.

Imagine buying a pass that gets changed regularly, and not thinking “oh hey they could just stop including what I’m paying for” You did the math yourself, it might be cheaper in the short run but in the long hall passes are meant to rip you off.

1 ReplyHa lol - got gamepass just for destiny…

I'm just glad I'm not required to pay $15 a month to play Destiny.
