What are your unpopular Destiny opinions?
Keep this topic respectful. Also, if you can, please justify your opinions if they relate to game mechanics or controversial topics like sunsetting.
I'll start:
^I like the Dreambane (Warlock and Titan)
^I actually like Ikora and Zavala
^I think content vaulting is a good thing* because it frees up space on my PS4 and lets them bring back worlds from D1. Also, I never go to Mercury or Titan, I only visit Mars to farm Lost Sectors, and I just straight up dislike Io.
^I don't like any PVP, despite being a PVP player in literally every other game I play.
What are your unpopular Destiny opinions? Leave them below
*if implemented correctly. Meaning they change the planetary mats economy so you no longer need specific mats to do stuff, generic mats. Also if they never remove the EDZ or Cosmodrome/Plaguelands. And if they never remove actual loot from the game, collections, and inventory/vault. There are a lot of things that can go wrong with vaulting, but until they do I'm 100% a fan of vaulting content nobody plays. I don't care that I bought every expansion as they came out before they all became free because I feel I've gotten my money's worth out of the content that's moving into the vault. It's sucks that they're removing the raids especially when I just decided to start raiding after literally seven years since I started playing, but c'est la vie. That's on me for never playing those raids while they were available.

2 RepliesThree, not one, but THREE unpopular opinions: 1. We need more control over shaders, to dictate where exactly we use them as to the ability to change the hue and gloss on each one. 2. EVERY exotic weapon needs a catalyst. I am surprised this has not already happened. Having a catalyst on each would give it a kill tracker and orb generator on multikills if nothing else. 3. Titans need better looking class items. Most look like Bungie didn't even try.

4 RepliesWe need a scout rifle meta, Scout rifles in general need a buff and better scopes, maybe rolled scopes too. Scout rifles need higher impact and more DPS registration on hit, as well as basically a buff overall. If you made auto rifles with less stability and less accuracy the longer their fired, and removed the massive aim assist then you could balance things out a little in order to ease us into a Scout Rifle Meta.

Streamers aren't ruining the game, and this game hasn't been catering to them for the past year. Sunsetting isn't as bad as everyone makes it, but umbrals having old weapons definitely isn't an ok route to do it.

2 RepliesBungie needs to move away from pve. Pve is for people who want to play with one hand slaying out lime a God and jerking it with the other, all it is is shooting at a bunch or brainless AI. There is no challenge. Everything is the same; strikes, raids, adventures, etc... pvp is way more challenging and every match is different. Do away with pve and incorporate more pvp!

Side arms and smg’s would replace shotguns, bows and scouts would replace snipers.

Content drought is better than having lots of mediocre content The game has at most 2 years of runtime left at this rate Bungie need to be answering at least 50% of the popular posts on a slow day PvP is fine as is

The game being primarily made for consoles hurts the overall game design The fact that you run through half the strike skipping fights isn't skill, it's annoying and makes grinding quests harder for those who want to kill stuff instead of sprinting to the boss Hunters break pvp and make it unfair for titans and warlocks The in game story sucks The shades are all ugly Just because you made it so we can hear the ever verse trader when we are at the post master doesn't make me want to buy anything Titan armour design is always an after thought the game needs more dlc since for a game with access to an entire solar system its only the size of a football pitch

Then later after Bungie needs to vault more stuff, or the Fallen season rotates out, there will be some betrayal by the Fallen and they’ll be our enemies again. And we will have seen it coming a mile away because the story will be such a simple, shallow, formulaic plot that it couldn’t possibly have been a shock or a plot twist.

Trials and Comp should’ve only rewarded unique armor, ornaments, sparrows, ships, cosmetics but not ever weapons.

9 Replies1. Sunsetting is necessary to fix the game. 2. PvP is an anchor around the neck of the game that will prevent it from fully realizing its potential as an action-MMO. PvP needs to either be abandoned, or re-imagined (Warframe, WoW) . 3. Having PvP and PvE share the same sandbox will be a similar anchor around the neck of the game. 4. The DCV is necessary to allow the game to expand, while still allowing it to be played on the older consoles. (Unless you have an SSD, console load times are BRUTAL right now...and are starting to negatively impact the player experience. I got an SSD for my PS4 pro, because I couldn't stand going back to playing teh game on PS4 after experiencing it on PC and on Stadia. You could literally go to the kitchen, and make yourself a sandwich.....and the Tower would still be tryin to load in.)

My favorite heavy weapons are machine guns I dislike shotgunning in crucible(meaning I don’t do it) I find patrol to be relaxing and fun I have more fun doing random strikes with my friend than I do playing crucible

3 RepliesMountaintop deserves to be honored with a monument in the courtyard of the Tower. It's an outstanding weapon that served Guardians extraordinary well everywhere. Without it, humanity would probably be extinct by now.
