I agree, but they won't listen. Chasing down the new LL every season is about 1/4 of the content. Now chasing sunsetting guns will be another 1/4, brought back D1 content 1/4 and actually new stuff 1/4. I'm not giving Bungie money for this shit anymore.

Yes! Seasons don't have to include power increase!

Remember in Year 3 of D1 where you could solo play literally any activity or level up factions ALL THE TIME, and get powerful gear to hit 400 light level? What happened to that? Archon Forge was great for that, and so were skeleton keys.

I've been saying that for a while now. They only did a 10 increase and I liked that, but they put in that dumb ass artifact and terrible seasons and they blame the 10 increase for lack of interest.

Or they could give us more than a public event to do each season. Removing the power increase is the easy way out of this and isn't a way to keep people engaged.

I agree. There should only be a power level grind in September. Throughout the year it is just totally unnecessary. It's not rewarding. It's not difficult. It's just a chore and barely anyone likes it, which is why so many people AFK farmed their way up this season. People would rather AFK farm than run the same old stuff we have been running for years. That says a lot about the game in its current state. Hopefully they change things for the December DLC. We have been doing the same power grind for far too long. I am glad this AFK farming happened because hopefully it gets them to actually change the way we level up, or get rid of it altogether throughout the year. There's no need for it when only a couple activities like a dungeon and public event are implemented. Every September should be a big jump up, new location, new raid, new activites, new strikes, etc. It isn't the same old grind. But between Dec-Sept, we shouldn't have to keep doing it since the DLC drops don't add much. This is one of my biggest gripes with Bungie. They don't learn anything from their mistakes and they don't give a damn to make them again, as long as it benefits THEM. Everyone hated Black Armory for this kind of thing. A new dlc dropped and people couldn't go into the new content. It's extremely stupid. So in Opulence, they announced that people could just go into Menagerie right away and enjoy the new content. Yet here we are and they do the same thing, only 10x worse. The thing is, they do it now because there is barely any content. If we weren't forced to level up, we'd be finished with the stuff after a day or 2, so it benefits Bungie to do this so it makes it look like there's more to do than there really is. It's disgusting really. The fact they are still pulling stuff like this 6 years into the bloody game. I hope that this was a wake up call for them though. People would rather AFK farm in their game than actually play it. I mean that is horrible for a video game.

i coulndt have agreed more i want to feel like what i actually did and grinded for meant something imagine every 3 months you have to keep infusing the same weapons and armor up and up and to keep up with your light level its tedious and mind boggling and you really dont feel like you power up at all when it gets taken away from you the followin season

Yeah, power level climbing for every season is not content. It sucks fun out of accomplishment.

What they should do is have the large increase in power level with the fall dlc where there is a ton of new stuff and a lot to do. Then for the other 3 seasons you only increase it by 10, like from what happened between undying and dawn. Or make new ways to get powerful and pinnacles.

Once a year would be better. It's really annoying to grind every 3 month your light level just to play content which you played for month now. ( 100k ordeal, NH etc. ). Feels always a little bit like making progress and then get stabbed in the back for making same progress on rehab again. Time loop greets.

They just need to rework the entirety of how Power works. Because if they don't increase power for seasons, then there won't be any progression, but it won't be a slog through power. If they do, there will be some sort of a progression, but it will be mind numbing.

Or better yet, have all drops go to... Say 1040, Powerfuls go to 1050, and Pinnacles 1060. Or... Y'know, don't increase the level cap by 50 every season.

I hate leveling every season to minimal content. Like, hey, level your character 40 light. Why? Just for one activity.

I have not even attempted a single GM Nightfall for this reason. My friends that I play with have lives and can’t level grind excessively to get within the power level necessary to not make the whole experience an annoyingly frustrating hassle! By the time I get to where I want to be to enjoy the game, it’s time to level grind again.
