I am seriously at my limit with how unbelievably broken comp and pvp is
this post was originally made when i was just angry and i can’t delete it so uhhhhhhh yeah
edit 2: I did not expect this to gain any traction at all, my original post was quoted in a reply below and if you read it take it all with a grain of salt as I had just lost my 3rd or 4th game in a row that day.
I really appreciate all the helpful feedback and constructive things most people have commented, and I do plan on taking it all into account. I’m only a *little* bit of a rager when things hit the fan, so please don’t assume i’m as small-brained as my post made me out to be. I know I need to improve myself and focus on better combating/tinkering with these metas myself and I have a few of you guys to thank for knowing where to start. I hope anyone seeing this now who was in the same gutter dump i was can see the same feedback i got and take it into account too. Anyways, thanks guys, I love this community.

Happens to the best of us mate, sorry you lost 4 games in a row, that really sucks. If you're doing comp I highly recommend the freelance playlist, it's right below the comp playlist and it makes sure you don't get paired up against a fully stacked team. Cheers. -Quaxx

Pvp is more waiting and leaving outrageously unbalanced games than it is actually playing. Every day I boot up I either sit around in matchmaking for ten minutes, then either get kicked, black screened and sent back to queue, or spawn in to a game either in progress on the team getting stomped or into a 6v2 or something. Bungie has to see this. They’re choosing to not address any of this. And that’s just one aspect. Not to mention the weapons, and literally everything else. Too much for my stoner mind to think of lol.

Matchmaking and lobby balancing is totally busted. The amount of quitters/disconnects in comp matches is crazy. On top of that comes lag and wonky hit detection.

3 RepliesI gave up on ever getting not forgotten. Lost 2000 glory in 1 setting. It’s a clear sign that there is no point in trying and there is no point in bringing teammates down with low skill play. No point trying any longer.

Been stuck on fabled for a while now. So many close games but always seem to get a team that just can’t pull it together. Especially people who don’t seem to coordinate at all which isn’t hard even without chat. They’ll go rushing in and lose all our lives, and get higher up on the leaderboard but before we even have a chance we’re out of lives. Not to mention getting stuck in games with Russian or Korean/Chinese players. That’s when my performance is always garbage. I’ve been on a horrific streak lately. Was almost Mythic and now I’m back down to Fabled 2 beginning. I refuse to use LoWs normally but if I see someone running that shit I will absolutely break it out. No point in having a code of honor lol. Other people are gonna abuse whatever they can find.

2 RepliesWhen you get to legend, if you stick around til then. You will realize you're not as good as you think you are. I know I did. Now I can consistantly play and stay above 5k no problem. If you're struggling with these cheap tactics being used against you, then you should step back and think is what I'm doing strong and consistent enough to beat these loadouts. And if it's not u need a different strategy. Remember destiny is a game that is all about 1hkos. You're special weapon and abilities should be forefront. If I judge what u have on hunter right now for pvp, izanagis handling is to slow, recluse initial ttk is to slow for comp and you have no exotic equipped.

2 RepliesI would of liked to know what the original story was. Just remember that there’s no honor in the crucible, do what you must. Mythic 2 is where you’ll need a team and get out of freelance. Play in the early hours of your time zone. That’s about all there is to it. Oh, and you could always settle for fabeled (or whatever the ritual is set to)

I got to 5500 in a couple days, it was fun to me minus the erentil. Other than that, I have little issues with comp or pvp in general.

Abilities matter so I recommend you figure out how to deal with them like the rest of us. I'm not that good at all and if I can go to 5500 playing a Warlock with a freaking bow....its probably a "you problem".

5 RepliesIf your getting 25 kill games, stick to free lance. You can win games alone there, without having to rely on teammates. Play at odd times of the day, and stay away from prime gaming times. This is when you run into sweats. Don’t always use your favorite load out, use your best load out. This may include broken meta weapons, but if your enemy is using them and your not... you are instantly at a disadvantage and a detriment to your team. Use the first couple of rounds to figure out the best way to support your team. This could be anything from holding hands to keep them from wasting lives, to hiding so much you get 6 kills for the match with a 6.0 k/d. If I have bad team mates i follow at least one and kill everything I can, just to keep them alive. If I get a teammate that’s popping off, I do everything I can to keep them alive and make sure I don’t die. This ultimately saves more lives for whomever is putting in work.

If you ask me it’s only you holding the team back... especially as you can’t even hit fabled!! Fabled takes literally a couple of hours and you can’t lose rank after you hit fabled soo. Please don’t come on the forums claiming to be a god when clearly your not. Just practice and get good. You want actual stats.. your a 0.60 kd You have a 0.87 kda and you average 9.7 kills+assists per game. Anyone who wants to check can use Redrix app.

And what is up with the spam of messages about Gambit and Sundial appearing during my Mayhem match? That was just weird, since I haven't played Gambit since before Season of the Drifter, and I haven't played Sundial at all. It obscured my screen and got me killed. *mutter* Bungie really need to get rid of those annoying splash screens showing up during a match, like the level up ones. /they were for "Infamy For The Taking" and "Sundial (Heroic)", just checked

you need to play private matches with players that know what theyre doing and give you guidance. Learn maps, class builds that are effective, how to use weapons effectively. Play with team mates that you can play with all the time and move as a 3 man unit. I didnt start playing comp until last season when I decided to try a hand at the previous pinnacle quests since they updated the glory ranking to have forgiveness. Turned out I was okay at it. Got to 5500 last season and completed this season two days ago.
