I mean compared to any other rpg/mmo looter shooter shlippy dippy do da, D2 has great visuals and graphic design.
I mean yeah when npcs talk it is a little like skyrim with the mouth garbles but the textures and prefabs and lighting are all top notch compared to any other game.
Literally the only complaints from players is the direction and functionality of content, the game‘s fundamentals are all really good.

30 RepliesUh, no? The graphics are pretty bad. Environment doesn't react at all or change. Textures in the game world can be outright questionable. Character models often have clipping issues depending on the armor equipped. Sure the backdrops are nice, but those have been nice in most games for a long time. They're easy. For all of its thoroughly average looks, the floaty gameplay holds it back. Giant setpieces instead of smaller, more detailed environments. Plenty of assets are thrown around multiple planets as if we wouldn't notice technology being out of place. Sure some of it looks pretty, but a lot of it is in the wrong spot. Really we're just looking at different textures tunnels to run down and shoot stuff in. The detail is not there. At all. Detail often makes or breaks graphics. You can be as pretty as you want, if it's all copy and pasted it never looks quite right. Then we have animations. Plenty of those look like garbage, too. The game is was showing its age at launch. Not a good thing.

1 ReplyD2 is the Prettiest girl at the ball with an empty completely corrupted soul.

You mean when the frame rate isn’t at 20? The whole point of console is that it should NEVER drop frames. If your game drops frames on console, you have a poorly optimized game.
-
Everything is pixelated lol
-
I feel its a bit bright and flashy at times, have to resort to wearing sunnys lol no issues with like BFV etc
-
We've known the only detail in this game is music and graphics and lore

Sometimes. The HDR is awful, I can’t seem to make it work regardless of settings on my PS4 and HDR tv (and cable).

1 ReplyFor 2013? Sure.

Uh, no. Not on the console and especially not in PvP. Graphics are godawful in the Crucible. Confetti graphic explosions are a joke. It's a big downgrade from Destiny 1. Enemy players are harder to see, and your own supers obstruct your view when attacking enemies, which is laughable to me These graphics are a downgrade.

I think D1 looked way better, D2 is more cartoonish IMO.

2 RepliesEdited by Puma Kane: 12/9/2019 1:00:55 PMThe graphics are very good. The HDR effect on X1X is really nice on my OLED. I can only imagine the visuals on a rig. Dolby Atmos should be a thing, when speaking about Destiny 2.

Yes agreed its awesome 😎👍 It's just ashame we're encouraged to speed past everything to "get it done" No time to stop an enjoy the artwork, not even enough time to stop for ammo and orbs 🤪

Not rly

You havent played alot of AAA games have you?
-
Compared to any other game you say? Yeah destiny graphics are way above Star Wars fallen order rofl.
-
The graphics are very good but my PS4 (first generation) in some PVE activities drops frame rates, so it's like I'm watching a slideshow. Got some money put back for the PS5 for next year.

Aside from skyboxes, they aren’t amazing

Edited by sillly: 12/9/2019 3:33:51 PMDuke nuke 64 has better graphics than this game.

6 RepliesNo. RDR2 has better visuals as well as an actual open world. See that mountain over there? You can actually climb it. Like they said how D1 would be at the E3 before release. But it wasn't...

4 RepliesThe beautiful mountains we can go to.

They aren't bad but they're by no means good.

2 RepliesIf it wasn’t for the visuals and soundtrack teams this game would be nothing
