Seriously how long will bungie ignore Trials, not even a word? TIME FOR COMMUNITY ACTION
We as a community need to do something about this and let bungie know that we want answers. We want Trials, we want some communication and transparency.
Bungie promised us a renewed focus on pvp and what did we get?
No more pinnacles
Comp is easy mode
No progression from PvP (enhancement prisms and ascendant shards dont exist)
STILL NO TRIALS
No new vendors or vendor refresh
WE CANT LET THIS STAND WHO IS WITH ME

2 RepliesTrials is for the 1%. The vast majority are unable to complete that activity once, let alone every week. If they bring it back, the community outcry would be 10x. People would be complaining that it was too hard, like in the past. And that it's unfair to have endgame loot tied to it, like in the past. That's why they don't want to bring it back. Bungie doesn't care about the 1%. They care about the 99% because that's who makes them money. FWIW - I'd love trials back but I'm not holding my breath.

5 RepliesNo one cares about PvP... it's not a mode they can balance which leads to nerfs of our favorite weapons/armor.... comps a joke populated by cheaters and hackers... would be no different then trials. Every one sees it with such rose colored glasses... trials was not as good as you remember! Granted it's something more to the game... it won't be added then all the sudden everyone's complaints about PvP will go away! The PvP community are a bunch of whiners most times. Not just in this game but basically all of them. It leads to whining and blaming the game.. the other players or lag or *insert excuse here* as to why it's bad or they lose.

21 RepliesI can't for the life of me understand why people feel Trials is the "saving grace" that PvP needs. Aside from a weekly pinnacle drop (probably the best case scenario) what is it going to do for you? It didn't work out in the end for D1 so they got rid of it, then they brought it back (sorta) in D2 and everyone hated it. I feel D2 PvP is full of way too much cheese now what with all the insta kill nonsense and artifact mods coming and going. I could be wrong and I'm free to hear what others think.

You see a lot of people in there who aren’t used to that sort of environment and that makes it “easy mode” for you. At least that’s my theory, for me it’s a struggle honestly Edit: and it doesn’t even look like you do comp all that much from your activity list(?) that’s just what I’m seeing, could be wrong. I don’t see a reason to complain about it if you haven’t played it all that much.

You say community but you mean competitive pvp community? While I would also like to see trials make a return as someone who went flawless in every version/season enough times to get all the items and was an enjoyable challenge as a just above average pvp player, I think the demand for trials isn’t something that is cried for by the majority of the full community and with that being pve players, I think bungie would only bring back trials with it not being as challenging cos more and more in real life and destiny people turn to outrage when they can’t get what they want easily and putting trials as an endgame activity and locking say a dlc endgame to it would really bring out the worst in the majority of the community, that being pve players.

3 RepliesI don't play PvP anymore because I suck at it and it stopped being fun in Y2. However, I know many other players enjoy it still. If more game modes makes more players happy I'm all for it. Upvote. PS-I wish they'd bring back factions too.

I never cared for trials but it would be nice if they said something about it. I wish they'd say something about factions too. I still have fwc tokens.

What’s fun about having to team up and win 9 games in a row? and if you lose you get to start over. How is that fun? I think they should at least bring back trials style gear per say and allow us to earn it via playing elimination, maybe through bounties such as iron banner has or a quest tied to elimination that we can grind for that pinnacle weapon. All we will get with trials returning will be rampant cheating, lag switching, win trading and a bunch of crying and complaining, it’s toxic. We just need more quests like ‘revoker and Randy’s throwing knife’ and they should include a unique armor set with new pinnacle weapons that include pvp focused perks to obtain.

29 RepliesIm not. Until PvP gets an entire rework and the competitive modes are actually competitve it should remain the way it is. No trials, joke of a comp mode. Reason? Simple, Destiny is the one game to where skill is actually not rewarded in, instead its being cheap. Weapons that are way too strong or completely punish what players have learned over more than 3 years of playing this game. Cheap tactics that Bungie still doesn't address. The multiple times per match where you aren't even allowed to fight because of spawnkilling, etc. PvP is too frustrating in its current state and would need a major overhaul and specific comp settings before Trials even thinks about coming back.

It's not fully Destiny without Trials. There's been a void left in its place since D1.
