2 RepliesPhysically: no. Mentally: maybe. Better question, why the ever living feck do we care? It’s not your life, it isn’t hurting you, and they’re sure as hell not trying to cut your dingy off. If it’s against your beliefs, don’t partake in it. Just don’t be a dunce about it.

3 RepliesAt first it would seem they would need to act a like a woman, right? But then the question becomes "what does a woman act like?" which has no real definitive answer, unless you think people always act one way. Next, if someone says they consider themselves a woman in public, considering the fact they probably well know about possible backlash from family and friends who aren't very open-minded, they probably mean it. They arent faking, and while they may be confused, it's better to try accepting them for now, if they figure out they dont like it then they'll eventually let you know.

3 RepliesEdited by NeonPropose: 11/19/2019 6:43:03 PMNot gonna lie, I couldn’t give a shit. If a biological male (who has GID) chooses to use female pronouns, cool. I will call them a female and use she/her pronouns when referring to them. Because that’s respecting them imo. Same if a gal wants to use he/him pronouns; or if a guy/gal wants me to use they/them pronouns. I’m gonna do the decent thing and respect their wishes. I’m not gonna be an ass. As long as you’re a good person, and treat me like a human, they I will treat you like one.

No. Similarly, he can’t become men.

1 ReplyIf a man runs over innocent civilians and then turns transgender should we forget about it and praise him for being strong and brave?
-
You can’t just change genders no matter what you do to yourself.
-
4 RepliesHe would still be a male. One cannot change one's biology. Also, this kind of thing can hurt the people around you: children can get confused of gender when it is so simple, Unfair advantage over others in sports(actually happens often because of this) Bathrooms, so we are now supposed to have big men go to the same bathroom as little girls?

5 RepliesA wise man once said “A rose by any other name is still a rose.”

2 Replieswhat do you think my answer is?

Biologically, no. Sociologically, conceivably...? But then there seems to be a vast muddle over whether perceived gender roles are harmful stereotypes or not. I'd rather just smoke a biff in peace and let the people with a dog in that fight sort it all out.

3 RepliesEdited by H1vac: 11/18/2019 6:11:21 PMIf someone says he’s a christian, but he doesn’t act like one does that mean he’s a christian? If someone says they are American, act American, sound American, lives with Americans, but isn’t technically American, is he an American? I’d respect the man or woman for that choice (wanting to be called by something other than the norm, I guess). Edit: A man is a man. A woman is a woman.

5 RepliesI once had an argument and took societies logic to the extreme, but was still the same basic argument. I said,
if society was accepting of people sexually identifying as a shark, you would be ok with that and it would be wrong to say that person is insane?
The person replied with,
yes
And with that I am done with ever trying to use logic, for they willfully choose to ignore it.

5 RepliesNo. It is impossible to be multiple people at once...

8 RepliesNo they are still a man and the fact that people actually entertain these individuals delusions instead of getting them the mental help and support they need is quite troubling.

9 RepliesSex? No. Gender? Possibly. Once again, you guys try to make something that is extremely complicated into something "simple". There is what people are physically. Then there is how they experience themselves internally. Then which sex they are attracted to. Then there is the collection of expectations and roles associated with that in the wider society. IOW: Sexual identity. Gender identity. Sexual orientation and Gender roles are all different aspects of Individual identity. And it can get complicated even when you understand these four things are independant and seperate. But if you try to force them into this single goulash....you're going turn things into an even bigger mess.

Yeah he’s definitely a man, when Theon Greyjoy lost his sausage it didn’t turn him into a woman did it.

3 RepliesNo. You are what you're born as. Transition surgery is just genital mutilation. It doesnt change anything.
