What’s your opinions on it? I’m getting killed by nothing but people team spamming fusion rifles. I hate using fusions in PvP. Hardly ever use them. I’d rather use a shotgun. Does it seem like fusion rifles are getting out of hand or is this acceptable to y’all? Be reasonable and rational please. Think of the longevity of Destiny 2 PvP. Don’t just think here and now and wanting to just get kills however you can please. Comments and real feedback about fusion rifles only. No personal attacks against anyone and please be respectful.

Its special ammo not fusions...

It’s just another part of the one-shot fest that Destiny PvP is.

Saladin's fault. Take it up with him.

1. Fusion rifles are fine....for the first time in a long time. 2. If you keep getting killed over and over by the same weapon? Its not the weapon...its you. You keep trying to use an INEFFECTIVE strategy in dealing with them, and you refuse to change and adapt. You are trying to pound a square peg, into a round hole...and trying to claim the round hole is the problem. 3. Fusion rifles fill an essential role in keeping snipers, shotguns and team shooting in check, since Bungie insists on keeping primary weapons underpowered. So the people who constantly complain about them are generally resentful because fusion rifles counter their preferred play style.....or they are hand cannon users who just refuse to accept that they are not supposed to win a mid-range fight with someone using a high-impact FR. So they keep wading into fights where they are at a disadvantage, and just keep getting mad when they predictably lose.

The sad truth is that shot gunners hate getting mapped by Fusions and they are the ones doing all the complaining.

Edited by C1B3D: 11/6/2019 2:51:46 PMBased on usage data Fusions are way below Shotguns, and Shotguns are not even that strong anymore. So you basically need to have decent rolls or your 1 hit kills would not be consistent on high impact, the other ones are weak, where you need a 2nd shot to finish the job, same like a Sniper to the body. With a Shotgun you can have a green one and still get nice consistent 1 hit kills.

8 RepliesEdited by Ur'Vosk, Voice of the Deep: 11/6/2019 9:50:26 AMTruthfully, I'm a firm believer that it's not the weapons that are broken in pvp, it's the ammo (most of the time). If you look at the stats and perks on most special ammo guns, you'll see that they are fully capable of one-shotting someone. Shotguns can be just as broken as fusion rifles, and while its true that fusion rifles have more range (looking at you erentil...), it's what the gun was meant for: being a one-shot. Of course, only spawining with one or two rounds of special limits the number of shots, it's still a one shot. The only way to truly make "overpowered special ammo guns" fair in crucible is to make them start off with no ammo and need to pick them up like heavy. Its inconvenient, but its inconvenient for everyone. I'd rather go the entire match without using my shotgun or fusion rifle than spend my games getting killed by them all the time. Anyway, just my take lol. Have a good night!

17 RepliesIts just 1 fusion erentil fr4. The others are fine. Today ibplayed against one in comp with rangefinder and range masterwork..... The guy was able to challenge me out in sniper distances and its not okay its a low risk high reward crutch

Edited by HollowedWayfarer: 11/5/2019 9:02:15 PMIt’s only the high impact fusion rifles that can reach maximum impact and damage that ticks me off. They have the most damage and most range. The rest are either inconsistent af or don’t do enough damage.

I don’t know how people get the long distance roll, but mine draws pretty fast. I’ve used rebuke, loaded question and jotun in the beginning

Blind em with flash and thunder then. Open up some Sweet Business... Anything that counters shotgun campers is cool in my book for now.

I wish I could use my FAV but I can't LOL Love them But then I love my Other ones as well

1 ReplyMid-Range Primaries (Hand Cannons and Pulse Rifles, lookin at you) have been the dominant choice for so long now it was only a matter of time until people started to twig that the mid-range Special was a good counter. Its also a good counter measure against Shotguns, so long as you space your engagements accordingly. I'd say that Backup Plan should go though, as it removes the balancing factor of Fusions.

10 Replies1. They are one of the few counters to shotgun apes. 2. While they one shot (Erentil/Wiz), if they miss, they should be dead before next shot. 3. They are quite low on usage and kill rate. Its likely you are more frustrated when it does kill you compared to all the deaths you actually have. So it "feels" like a problem, when it isnt.
