Bungie's got accees to the PvE data to see if it is overused or not, but based on my personal experience, I'm expecting to see some changes.

-
The best trash mob clear weapon that really makes any other trash mob clear weapon invalidated. I'd love to use huckleberry again, but recluse is just better and doesn't eat up my exotic slot. Over use has always been grounds for nerf since D1. Look at gunslingers for PvP.
-
If you'd love to use huckleberry again then do, nobody is stoping you. I'd stay with the recluse and everybody is happy. Clearly the problem is in people heads if they can't stand using something less optimal for such forgettable taks as ad clear.

Edited by RingersCheckmate: 10/19/2019 6:33:14 PMYou'd be surprised who'd boot you for using a huckleberry instead of a recluse. It is a handicap in comparison. Just because you think ad clear isn't an aspect of the game doesn't need balance, doesn't mean the devs or the rest of the community feels the same way. It's a problem if a weapon is this powerful, no matter what context.
-
Again, why would you even want to play with people dictating every aspect of your loadout? This is great litmus test that will show you which groups are not worth your time.

Edited by RingersCheckmate: 10/19/2019 9:03:51 PMThere comes a point where you have to accept that recluse is dominating the PvE metagame, and I don't blame people for questioning why I'd use anything besides recluse. In any logical sense, why would you? If thats the case for any weapon in any context, there's probably something wrong or overpowering about the weapon.
-
So how about bringing more weapons up to speed instead? What do you want here exactly? Make busywork of clearing ads longer for everyone?
-
Recluse isn't quite the bar for killing ads in D2. If the big precision damage nerf to red bar ads didn't tell you Bungie (and myself too) wanted some difficulty back, I don't know what would. Recluse barely felt the nerf, as MoA gets its damage from body shots. Is using anything but recluse really that awful to you?
-
Nah i'm using a lot of different guns, whatever suits my fancy- I just like recluse as an option, one i grinded for, unlike some random roll from banshee and i want for it to stay relevant. You know what happens when Bungie gets around to "adjusting balance" right? Yup, the "adjusted" weapon gets completley trashed and never leaves the valut again.
-
I disagree, and calling recluse "an option" is more like "THE option". I'm sure it'll be just fine after a balance patch. Plenty has survived, and I'm even going for my whisper catalyst again to use with my friends and divinity together.
-
uh,uh...guess we'll see. There's always plenty of people that are sure everything will be fine, but we never see them using said weapons after the nerfs tho.
-
Well that's what happens when bandwagoners for the best weapons lose their easiest weapon. People who still enjoy the playstyle of being in close quarters mowing shit down can do it with recluse afterwards, and sheep that follow the best loadout possible move on to the next one.
-
Hard to blame them when using pinnacle becomes worse option than rolling with random gun that dropped from public event(looking at you breakneck).
-
Breakneck was great until recluse came out. Then shadowkeep rolled out and that's a change that confuses me
