Solo player here. Love the game and everything in it that allows me to solo. Matchmaking activities are great. However, I absolutely hate the idea of and will never be getting a "fire team" together to run certain non match making activities. This excludes me from many activities that lead to pinnacle and exotic weapons and I am ok with that for now. I also fully understand the psychological and other aspects of why Bungie pushes and promotes fire teams. As a solo player I have my limits on how much content I am excluded from because I choose to play solo. If content exclusion get's to the point that I personally feel the game is just not worth the money for me, then I will begrudgingly spend it somewhere else. I bought the first Destiny on day one and have bought every single expansion from D1 and D2 since then. Love the game but in the end, if Bungie doesn't want my money that's ok. Also just wondering how many other solo's are in the community. Solo...signing out.

What you are asking for is sure to attract tons of players that claim everything is fine and for you to get a team or friends to play with. I wish there was match asking for everything in destiny, sure I had friends in the past but everyone left the game years ago. Im the only person left playing this game and even I rarely play it anymore since I cant solo everything, I don’t see why its such an issue to add matchmaking to every mode

Solo...signing out.[/quote] I got your point: you're a solo player and you know that this is a co-op game with co-op elements and Activities, however, now you feel that the co-op Activities that requires a Fireteam are far too many and you feel too much excluded. You feel that as a solo player you reached the limit. In that case, if you really don't want to find a fireteam or join/create a Clan, then you got the only possible answer: leave the game and find another one where you can actually play solo with no problems. I'm not saying that in a toxic way, it's just the most logical answer to your issue since you excluded at prior the idea to find a Fireteam/Clan. I don't think it's going be helpful to tell you how good is to play with other persons this game. It really changes A LOT. Even the simplest thing can became stupidly hilarious.

3 RepliesIsn't it odd that while there is no matchmaking for some Heroics / Nightfall... matchmaking is forced on you even if you want to go it alone in a strike, even a non-playlist one because some bounty says you need to poke 15 mobs with this kind of stick... you have to 'make sure' you host the map. And the LFG app... is an actual mobile app. No wonder so many clans use Discord and just /join ID_T#10 I really don't see why matchmaking isn't put in for some content. If folks want to suffer wipe after wipe... well that's how some get good and maybe find more friends.

There are unintended consequences also, I played with a clan on Xbox when D1 first dropped with my old Halo buddies, that didn't last long and I became a solo. Going all the way back to the Taken king I would use the app for nightfalls and then I started soloing nightfall and whatever other hard content I could find, that's how my clan played max difficulty ever run, back when you could adjust it. So I got to the point I didn't even look for a fireteam or a clan. Bungie forced Alot of player who wanted to still play, to become badass Guardians that could solo content now their are doing what they can to put the toothpaste back in the tube.

11 RepliesMost stupid thing is Heroic Menagerie. Regular version has matchmaking Heroic doesn’t. I found some randoms on LFG, finished it and forgot about them and heroic version for ever. How this bs should push me to find static fireteam? This is stupid af.
-
I don't feel excluded. The game has parts you can play solo and other parts meant to be played with friends. That's the game.
-
I'm solo, I just dont do raids. I literally do everything else though. Need that outbreak perfected when your solo? LFG. Need to run a 200k NightFall? Again, LFG. Need a carry through shattered throne? Yep, you guessed it. LFG. I'll group where its needed but I run solo 95% of the time. Quit your whining, you antisocial people. And just get in there and *queue meme* JUST DO IT!

I am SO glad that we’re getting Solo-Queue competitive
-
Solo... That is all.

1 ReplyWow. Its look like solo players keep this game alive🤔
-
I'm solo and I'm fine with using the app to find a group when I have to. I would prefer to do some things on my own, but I think a big part of the fun in this game is the social aspect (even though I'm not very social).

1 ReplyI am and always have been a Solo player. I can do without Raids, haven't ran a raid since D1. The only thing that I feel should be changed is Matchmaking for the Nightfall. The Nightfall is just a glorified strike with a few modifiers big deal, we have all ran these strikes to the point of complete boredom. Set requirements to be able to use a Matchmaking option, things like Light level, Strike clears, Triumphs Completed. I get it, people say everyone would just go AFK, and I agree to a point BUT it should still be "MY" option to use a optional "Matchmaking" choice. Just a thought.

1 Replyas mentioned time and time again, bungle doesn't want solo players in their game, they only want game addicts who are willing to put in 12 hour days on a video game
-
Honestly? It hasn't bothered me at all. Only things I haven't done are raids...and that's about it. Everything else is either doable solo or easy to find a fireteam for.
-
The choices are unsatisfactory.

1 ReplyIn my case the answer to that question is... apparently lots.

It's just not always feasible to have a group for everything one does. My clan are all 18+, have jobs, kids, etc. I run with friends when possible, but Absolutely hate being screwed outta stuff because I'm solo today.

5 Repliesthey should just stick the damn stupid fireteam finder IN THA FRIGGIN' GAME..! thats neither too hard nor too complicated nor anythign different than its currently is.. its just having the group finder for the game you are playing in the game.. revolutionary idea.. -.- and while you are developing this, bungie.. just remove the clan requirement for that Guided games stuff...

Destiny isn’t designed for solo play. Why is that STILL a surprise to anyone.
-
13 RepliesI Solo'd a Patrol once.
-
3 RepliesBungie just need to have in game LFG and no one can complain.
-
7 RepliesI'd prefer optional matchmaking for everything. Yeah raids will be tougher with randoms, but that's my problem, not yours.
-
5 RepliesThis is a multiplayer game. Its really as simple as that. There is content which you can do by yourself, most content, in fact. Almost everything in the game can be done by yourself, some with more skill required than others. The fact is though, this is an mmorpg now or if you dont want to call it that, its still a multiplayer looter game. Deal with it, raids require teams. That isnt going to change.

You make some valid points and i agree that eververse must be removed from this game but, Whether we wanted it or not, we've stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars. So let's get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta'aurc. From what I can gather, he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank just outside of Rubicon. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold

As a solo player I adapt I go to the fire team forum and look for a space on someone’s team.
