If you had to pick one thing that really sums up the bulk of your individuality as a person what would it be?
For me it’s a toss up between love of playing guitar and video games. But I’d have to say guitar wins out because it really intersects with all the other parts of my life in some way. It’s at the center of what gives me joy.

Curious: I like to explore different fandoms or the reasons why people act or do a certain way. I want to know, how people have interests in certain fandoms, I want to know why some one became gay or bi. Was it something in childhood? Or something that just happened? I want to know.

2 RepliesI feel like I'm one of those types of people that others assume is really cold, but then they get to know me and realize that I'm a caring and affectionate ball of mush.
who only occasionally harvests your kidneys for tacos.
12 RepliesPositive; I think I’m usually a very positive, and happy person to be around. I’m hard to anger, quick to forgive, and try to be happy and optimistic as much as possible! Negative; I feel like I’m a little too scared of abandonment. I’ve had too many people just slip out of my life without a word, intentionally or otherwise. I really like the friends I have now, and it’s scary to think they might just leave.

1 ReplyI’m incredibly stubborn to the point I’d argue with someone over whether they started walking using their left foot or right foot and wouldn’t give up till I won. I’ve since learned to repress it a bit and generally avoid arguments on the site to limit how much it comes out.

Edited by Toonstrack: 9/5/2019 6:25:02 PMMy methodical way of thinking and operating. I think very intently on seemingly meaningless things and look for patter ns in behavior where there may or may not be one. Based off of these I make deductions about people and situations Im around. It comes off often as cold and can sometimes make me seem disinterested or rude but its actually just a defense mechanism I always have on. A perfect example is this post. I spent way too much time typing it out snd its way longer than it warrants, and now it circles back around to being self referential.

I'd say that the personality trait that defined me most was being an angry POS, spiteful douchebag for a good chunk of my life. That's not who I am now, but if I hadn't been through what I went through, it wouldn't have shaped who I am now. I would like to think that what defines me now is an attitude of positivity. Always trying to engage with humor and compassion. That's what I try for anyway.

I would like to say compassionate but I would be lying if I didn’t say that some days my give a crap meter hits at around a 10

I'd like to say my creativity and writing, or my love of all forms of art define my personality. The reality is probably that emotion defines my personality. I am an extremely emotional person, which is a strength and a flaw depending on the time. It means I get really anxious, or really angry, but can also mean I have a lot of empathy, or passion for something. It's the reason I so often type walls of text on this forum and in emails, and also the reason I can come across as angsty and confrontational without meaning to. So yeah, that's my answer.
