As much as I am loathe to admit it, I agree with him on this.

Call the internet police!

2 RepliesI want less federal government and nothing regulating firearms. I really hope a third party can win 2020.

16 RepliesHe knows that these mass shootings are being carried out by people who belong to, or sympathize with, right wing extremist groups and the alt-right. Yet, he absolutely refuses to call out any of these groups or disavow their beliefs. He has also refused to allow these groups to be labeled as domestic terrorists, which they are.

2 RepliesI guess Hell did freeze over.

2 RepliesYo wait does this mean Glorious Leader Trump would be able to send boots to your door for insulting him because "treason?" Asking for a friend. Don't hurt me big brother.
-
6 RepliesI do agree. If boards such as 8Chan and Stormfront can be allowed to hold such toxic vulgar, to the point of encouraging mass shooters, then there needs to be a crackdown. The anonymity of the internet, and even social media like Facebook, has allowed terrible people to form their own bubbles.

You know what social media companies can do? Frame and take out people they dont agree with.

Who makes the definition of what a 'dangerous' person or post is? Jokes? Something slightly edgy? Because I get the feeling if something like this takes effect you'll find it being used for the wrong reasons and it'll end up targeting the wrong people. 'Hey we just looked into your personal information because you said something edgy to a friend. We really don't like your opinions. Wouldn't want to contact your job or have the police kick down your door.'

1 ReplyAnyone remember the Boston bomber incident with Reddit? This isn’t really a good idea.

He also thinks that video games are what motivate them...

The Donald wants these companies that lets terrorist groups(with verified badges) post freely on their sites to identity potential mass shooters?

4 RepliesEdited by Neko Neko Nya: 8/6/2019 1:43:30 AMI dislike this because it’s too vague. Who decides what warrants being labeled a terrorist? Does posting an edgy meme about 9/11 mean I’m now on a watchlist from the FBI because I’m a “terrorist”? Does posting “I’m a terrorist” make me a terrorist, regardless of these context? This is why I hate it when politicians make decisions based on emotions and not logic. Edit: does his legislation make this man into a terrorist? Or me for reposting it?

Good luck knowing what is a shitpost and what isn't. Have fun browsing through 8chan lol.

Aren’t they already doing that? If not we have even more issues to address with social media.

Edited by xXLjordSireXx: 8/5/2019 11:28:14 PMDoes that mean I can't joke about mass shootings with my best friend on snapchat or even Instagram :( Side note: I don't like hearing about shootings especially on schools because the students killed haven't lived their life to the point of a natural death of age, but me and my group of friends like dark humour

1 ReplyNot sure how I feel about that. On one hand 8chan and some of that ridiculous crap needs to be looked at, but on the other hand if they did it by algorithms instead of human beings, the wrong people could be implicated.

3 RepliesGreat, more power given to companies to invade our privacy.

Smells like a myspace revival.

1 ReplyBack to supporting!

2 RepliesThere’s a step in the right direction. Just as long as it doesn’t rely on algorithms.
