I think that the chest exploit made the menagerie more fun since it allowed for easier grinding, and I’m pretty sure most people agree with me when I say that the chest exploit at the end of the menagerie made it much more fun. I would like to see this return, and I think it, or something like it (maybe limiting it to 3) would be beneficial for the menagerie.
Edit: The comments did a great job of highlighting that there would be no way that they would keep something like this in the game. They also highlighted that the passage above was more of a butthurt rant whining about the chest patch, which is 100% true. I think that the idea to give extra chests for flawless encounters is a good idea. To add on to this idea I would say that each chest after the first one should double in the amount of runes required per slot. This would help players spend all of the runes that they have been accumulating since the patch.

1 ReplyNormally they don’t like casual is enjoying the game. However if your grinding like headless chicken and enjoying the game, they really appreciate it.

They could have allowed two chests per activity or a few rolls per item. These desired rolls are rare as platinum plated dildos coated in spicy mustard.

2 Replies1200 upvotes and no bungo reply. Im shocked.

I think bungie should just give us three chests for completing on normal, and five for heroic.
-
Haven't done a run since. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
-
I think it’s time bungle just comes up with a better method for player to get the perks they want🤷🏻♂️ idk ..... maybe re-rolling weapon perks??? Seems like a better idea than farming the same weapon over and over through broken chests. It could work kind of like the runes on our chalice. Select which perk column you’d like to re-roll, complete some objective and boom perks change to random set of different perks for that selected column.
-
17 RepliesShouldn't even be an exploit. We should have the option to dump up to 5 runes in a single run to farm for different rolls. Why they think spending 10-20 minutes for 1 drop with no way of betting the roll u want without RNG involved is beyond me.

1300 upvotes!!! Bungie is gonna ignore this post.....

15 RepliesThis and many forum topics reinforce why I won't be playing D2 probably ever again..time vs rewards are pitiful in this game I wanna feel rewarded, I wanna feel more powerful, 3 years down the road I wanna be able to see me still using gear I grinded etc . This version of destiny lacks power... Rewards and sure as shit lacks the FUN of the first one. You can grind for years and in 10 milli secs bungie makes it worthless and unrewarding. I can log onto Warframe 3 years later and still use the crazy good shit and still feel powerful. I check these forums only like once every few weeks to see if there is any positive changes. All I see is the Same complaints and cozmo saying he will pass it along. This games gonna be laughed off everyone's play list come September. Let's see more cash on these pile of garbage or play Borderlands 3 the king and inventors of LOOT and SHOOT Bungie made a looter and shooter and forgot the loot and fun.
-
Sometimes I want to make a post on the forums saying "Glitch to get Silver items from Eververse with Bright Dust, hurry before its patch" and expect bungie to message me the next minute threatening to kill me and show them how its done
-
2 RepliesI heard through the grapevine that its coming back as a PS4 exclusive
-
2 RepliesI'd like to see them bring in 3 guaranteed chests and then another 2 based on how you do in your run.
-
1 ReplyIf you didn't spend the time getting the shit you wanted from this glitch for the MONTH it was out then thats your fault. End of story.

What’s wrong with you people? Don’t do it. It was frigging awesome and it sucks that it’s gone. I’m all for a middle ground. What’s wrong with that? I’d love to see numbers. Before and after patch. Yeah, I’m sure it was an already less attended activity. But I hadn’t even started armor grinding. And I still don’t have weapons that I want with God Rolls. Chill ogres

It was never intended to work this way, however it did make it fun to run and grind for god rolls on gear. I think a good compromise would be to have three chests, however only one drops a powerful and if you want all three you have to run Menagerie three times the other two are non-powerful, For each chest of course you have to slot your runes. That or have the chalice slot that has a chance to drop a second non-powerful reward always happen instead of being random.

4 RepliesFirst of all you just want attention Second how can people complain about bugs but get mad when a bug is fix?
-
ok buff the Yellow bars .. and it will be ok
-
Holy crap this is a small army lmao
-
5 RepliesI’m fine with one chest, That’s how it was designed. But I think they should make three chests at the end or something. Just to please this community
-
I wouldn’t say it made it more fun cause it was pretty cool before I even realized about the glitch. It just made it more rewarding. I was able to get many of the armor and weapon rolls I wanted within the first 7-10 days so the fact that they patched it doesn’t really matter to me. I’ll still do the 3 weekly’s.
-
I liked it but menagerie armour will be pointless in yt 3 I think. And I have the weapons I wanted out of it.
-
4 RepliesComplete waste of you're time on a subject that won't get reverted. I'm glad the chest cheese got patched. Like most content that get released someone always has to find a cheese. Put up shut up and play the game how it was meant to be played.

The only way you should be able to get more loot is successful completing each encounter and you get three chests at the end.
