I was in my bed trying to sleep when I started thinking about my childhood. I was born in 2002, so my childhood was filled with playing Club Penguin, Webkinz, Poptropica, watching ThinkNoodles, Skyrim, and Black Ops 2. I’m pulling an all nighter, and I’ve found out these things.
1. Club Penguin is shut down. I can no longer access my old account “FlyingMan15”
2. Webkinz is shut down from what I found, too
3. Poptropica is the same as before! Yes!
4. I was delighted when I saw the same Thinknoodles I watched as a kid still uploaded, but then I realized he posted -blam!-ing Roblox vids...
5. I still play Skyrim, soooo
6. Black Ops 2 servers are full of hackers, but zombies still works.
My conclusion: My childhood is mostly over.

I am still wondering how I survived the bleak darkages of my childhood. And if you wanted porn you actualy had to buy it * shivers in fear*

1 ReplyEdited by Uncanny_Vale: 6/16/2019 12:00:12 PMDon’t feel bad. My childhood was over while cässette tapes and VHS were still big and before the Internet and cell phones were even a thing. Edit: god damn I forgot cässette was a banned word.

In 2005 I was older than the majority of the users here are now and I'm the biggest kid I know. The biggest difference between my behavioural and chronological age is that now I've just got pockets deep enough to buy most of the toys I want.

Born in 2002, wasn't allowed on club penguin😭

1 ReplyBorn in 1976. We had two parents and only two genders. We had arcades with the occasional fist fight out back. Bikes we rode from morning to sunset. Waiting anxiously for Nintendo Power to show up in my mailbox for my NES games. My whole group of friends getting blown away when Robotech hit American shores in 1985. Going hunting with my dad and getting my own shotgun at 13 years old.
-
1986 here 1. Just say no 2. Who is Princess Diana and why is everyone bummed out? 3. What do you mean Mr. Gatti’s closed down and we have to go to Mazzios? 4. Why did I get a grey Legend of Zelda cartridge and Joey’s cartridge is gold? 5. Back in the day you could talk to the hand, dude....boo ya!

Born in 1996, and I’m still a kid today. Your childhood’s only over when you say it is!

Sometimes I like to look at ma VHS player and just sigh. I do miss that thing. Unfortunately it’s kinda broken. No idea why we still have it.

1 ReplyMy childhood was strange. I was born around 2005 but ended up playing my dad’s games from the late 90s and early 2000s.
-
1999, my childhood was non-discript bins of Legos, playing a flight simulator/combat flight simulator, my dad's original CoD on PC, then Star Wars Empire at War gold pack on the PC, and playing with the old Lego Bionicles with some friends and doing all nighters over at their house. I get a bit nostalgic when I here the All American Rejects song move along, I enjoy playing Bionicle heros on my Wii and I miss the days of 2008-2010.

Ive played with a guy back on Destiny 1 in 2015 who was 60+ years old. Said it helped with his mental exercise. 😆

Edited by DemonicChronic: 6/16/2019 4:41:07 PMMy 90's childhood gaming habits were mostly single player, and I have nearly every game I used to play on my PC for emulators. (except for the Xbox originals since it still has terrible emulation.) I haven't really found myself wanting to watch all the old cartoons I used to watch as a kid, but I hear there are websites for that kind of thing, in case I ever did.
