Armor: Beyond cosmetics

Today we're all just playing dress up, really, but you have a lot of opportunity for players to get hyper involved in their armor. When people see someone who looks like Cayde 6, they think of all the cool stuff Cayde did. Armor in Destiny should have that same effect. You see it, and you get a really good idea of what that person is all about. When people see blue raid armor on a titan, they should know that dude is being serious. My suggestion: Each armor set should give a specific bonus for wearing 3/5, a bigger bonus for 4/5, and a bonus + something special that rivals exotic armor for 5/5 For example, the set from IO could give a 3% dmg increase vs Hive at 3/5, 7% at 4/5, and a 10% + critical hive kills drop heavy ammo repeat for all armor sets (Be creative, there's no reason to repeat perks) Secondly, and this might be pretty wild, but shaders could give a buff too. That sounds crazy, but listen: red = agility green = hp regen blue = resilience if each shader (regardless of common or legendary) has a base bonus of X, and each one has four colors, agility bonus = Rvalue /(R value + G value + B value) HP Regen bonus = Gvalue /(R value + G value + B value) Resilience bonus = Bvalue /(R value + G value + B value) Every shader would give the same total bonus, but if you dress your gaurdian in mostly red, you have higher agility, blue, you're tougher. You could make it a big bonus overall, or just a small one, however you want it to effect the game You could also do something different for white/black colors, white speeds up super gain, black lets you roam longer for roaming supers. the shade of gray would be a mix of each. Additionally, we need specific drops from strikes/raids. When people go in a strike or raid, it should be "I'm here to get [name of item], I'm SUPER excited about it." Lastly, and this is a big gameplay issue. I should have a load-out for each destination. While in orbit, give me a screen that lists all destinations, and let me configure an armor set I'd like to have equipped when I transmat to that location. This would be super helpful, and help me maximize the perks that I've gained from the above armor bonuses.
