Most traditional leaders in the city blindly see the fallen has a ruthless enemy, meant to be eradicated. They do not see an ally, but an enemy they do not trust.
Zevala,Shaxx,The Praxic Fire would all be ademently against working with them and demand our execution if we chose to
Ikora however I think would trust our judgement and side with us, Caydes death really split the vanguard , and she and Zevala don't see eye to eye anymore
Some would follow Zevala , and the rest would follow us and Ikora, plus the guardians already working with Mithrax.
Would you kill a fellow guardian to protect a Eliksni freind ?
-
No. I would be tlike the drifter and drift.
-
1 ReplyZavala would come round to it after meeting Mithrax. Ikora would be on board right away.

1 ReplyEdited by Necrogen: 5/15/2019 2:15:29 AMThe vanguard trusts our judgement hands down. It'll be cool to see them split the story again with the fallen house of light and the opposing force (whatever they want to call this) and recruit anyone to their cause. I'd kill a guardian for a fallen. I'm the hero I saved countless lives and brought the light back. People would listen to what I have to say and heavily consider it. out of role play this is the setting event for the fallen to be a playable race in D3 if they are granted the light too. Calus would be the cabal side, lord know if vex can be controlled by asher and maybe a hive knight defects?... Dunno. It'll be a cool thing to see as MMOs typically mix it up.

8 RepliesEdited by Vegalink: 5/12/2019 6:37:43 PMMan are people still whining about Zavala?? He is all about protecting the people. Guardians are to protect the people and he strongly dislikes those who run off on their own prima dona, self discovery, my feelings are hurt quests and abandon those who cannot defend themselves. Saint 14 was like that too. He attacked, but only the immediate threats to the city. That is what being a guardian, especially a titan is, lore wise. I dunno what you mean about executions though. I don't recall a single execution happening, even with dregen yor. People are just demonizing Zavala because he acts responsible to the group of refuges he tries to protect. As he said when Cayde died. "We are not an army." We are refugees trying to avoid extinction. Is Zavala perfect? No way. But it gets annoying that people STILL demonize him, for putting the needs of the people over the feelings of a handful.

How would that happen our guardians dont even speak lol, would just be a room full of ghosts -blam!- to each other.

1 ReplyWe’ve aligned with the fallen twice already without a civil war. I think we’d be ok
-
1 ReplyI’d kill a fellow Guardian for fun
-
No leader of the city blindly sees anything as anything. We've been working with the fallen since HoW.
-
My guardian will be friends with whomever he damn well pleases - factions be damned. Let the blood spill!!!!!!!
-
Drifters doing a nice job at starting one.

"...But he's my friend." "So was I."

5 RepliesEdited by Goldship: 5/13/2019 3:48:41 AMI’d probably side with mithrax/variks, we could use allies and fallen and cabal would be the best options for alliance Kinda doubt most of them would be against us, Zavala wouldn’t like it at first but would come around, lord shaxx miggt encourage it with caution, praxis fire wouldn’t care since they have no affliation with darkness so it’s not worth their time, anour might care because he/she/it/toaster/Apache is suspicious of us but that was due to helping the space hobo
-
Dude missile titan and a shield titan are gonna have a fight like In (civil war)
-
1 ReplyImagine Zavala still having a say in what we do. If we listened to Zavala, Ghaul would've found Oryx squatting on Earth, busy sucking the Light out of the Traveler.
-
1 ReplyA lot of things would start a Guardian civil war. We’re dumb like that.
-
5 RepliesEdited by Shaxxs Rusty Horn: 5/12/2019 1:19:05 PMIf it comes to Mithrax Zavala wouldn’t want to execute us if anything he would be up for it. At the end of the titan quest where you meet Mithrax for the very first time our ghost tells him how he just gave us the reactor and Zavala is like wow that’s pretty cool maybe we can coexist (those were exact words used)

8 RepliesEdited by Kell of Rain: 5/12/2019 9:17:14 PMZavala isn't some knuckle dragging brute. He's strategic, and smart enough to see how valuable of an opportunity House Light is. And considering that he's said that if he had the forces the Fallen Houses do, he'd be able to turn Humanity's situation around, I'm sure he'd jump at an opportunity to buff up his offensive numbers. As for Shaxx, he's always been an advocate for change. He gave up his status as Warlord when the era was changing, wasn't afraid to toy around with Hive swords knowing they'd be a powerful weapon in the future, and brought about one of the best outlets for Guardians to streamline their combat skills and abilities. I'm sure he'd see the merit of turning foe into friend. I also doubt the Praxic Warlocks would care too deeply about the Eliksni joining the City. Their creed only prohibits the use of Dark artifacts, something the Eliksni typically don't mess with. Who you'd really want to look out for is people like Executor Hideo and the New Monarchy, the Daito company or every day folk like Holliday or Hawthorne who've suffered first hand at the Fallen out in the wilds. That and freelance Lightbearers who take trophies from dead Fallen. That might end up inciting some high tensions.

7 RepliesI would 100% exterminate every Fallen on earth. This is our planet, the Fallen and every other invading extraterrestrial freak has to leave or die.
-
I'd side with Mithrax.
-
None of it’s real.....

I think this will depend on who becomes the hunter vanguard leader. That will tip the balance one way or another.

I kind of see the fallen as a sort of race allegory. They had the traveler first, proving that they have at least some worth as a species that follows the light. Out of any of the enemy races, they are the ones that would realistically side with humanity if something went wrong. Along with that, we see many human traits out of them, with them know even attempting to mimic our society as theirs breaks down. We have not seen this from any of the other races, and most likely never will. The vex desire to become synonymous with reality through causing the end of all else, the hive intend to prove their existence through killing everything, even their own kin, and the cabal are a race entirely founded on war. Of course there are bad eggs among the fallen, especially with the new House of Dusk arrangement where all of them are facing this massive level of disorder, but back in the d1 era the fallen houses mainly conflicted with humanity for survival/ownership of the traveler, both of which were in some way their right. If humanity had extended a helping hand to the Eliksni, I doubt that the conflicts would have continued at all, but as we have seen in the past, humanity is very possessive of the traveler, and most likely saw the fallen as lowly pirates. Essentially, humanity views the fallen as less than them and acts accordingly.

2 RepliesWho does this commander vuvuzela think he is?

3 RepliesHere’s something to think about when has zavala ever treated the guardians as people? Coming from his reception we are no better than slaves of the vanguards. Even sloane said that she and zavala were not happy when we went after cayde killer like we had to ask for their permission to do anything. Ikora: you’re probably right about her as she would Side with us on the matter but with mithrax it a wait & see what comes of it. As for going against other guardians we will come to that crossroads soon enough

7 RepliesCivil War over Racism? Sounds Familiar
-
I don’t think it would be that violent. Obviously Zavala would be opposed to it but he come around eventually as he sees fallen dying for guardians and vice versa
