Anyone else just not have a problem with cores?
I don't mean through the exploit or because you just horded a bunch, I just mean like, you just know how to not infuse every 10 seconds and you have an IQ over 30?

If you don’t have a problem, that doesn’t mean that everyone else shouldn’t. And I don’t think the hundreds of people that have a problem with them all have a 30 iq.

24 RepliesNo but it’s definitely a broken economy. Especially for newer players. D1 would reward 5 Motes of Light every time you ranked up XP wise. You also got 2 for every hour of actual play time(not orbit). Which could be used to unlock weapon perks if you didn’t want to wait by using the weapon in the wild. That was a much better economy than this drip fed crap they’re pulling now.

Its not an issue if you dont infuse everything. Yes infuse smart, at the same time, its hampering the player experience. Core are fine for mastering weapons but its sux for the Infusion process. I sit at 440 right now. Knowing there is another level increase is the reason why i hoard cores. The 5% doesn't do what most of do.

I infuse every 20+ levels difference and usually am sitting around 30 cores.. Less now because I play less.. Why do I play less? One reason is this infusion system. They are tying basic character progression to an endgame currency... This is plain wrong and is punishing new players, pidgeon holing them. This does not create a fun experience for new or casual players and Destiny 2 is the only game I encountered so far which does this.. Other loot based games give incredible player freedom during the character progression to end game.. Then they usually throw the hammer down. Cores need to go from infusion so every player, casual, new or hardcore has the freedom to play and experiment with whatever they want in every activity except offcourse end game where you just use the best in slot guns.

Not really a problem for me, but it would be nice to move everything up to max level. Back in D1 I would play naturally and if I got something I didn't want I would always infuse it into something else. (Yes, not "necessary" but people like to max everything) Doing any activity was at least mildly productive. Now if I get something, since all my best gear is already 700, I often just delete it. Then I think to myself, why bother doing activities at all for garbage that has no real value. Not a good state of mind to put your players in. How does it hurt anyone if the guy with 1 character can infuse his gear every 2 levels. Why does he have to earn that piece of gear extra times? (Get the old piece, get the new piece, get the cores to raise the light of the old piece rinse and repeat) It just adds extra work for no real reason other than, specifically, to be extra work.

2 RepliesI don't have one, but it's not about me. Cores should be used for masterworking only, since they aren't, there goes my issue with them. The whole infusion should be meaningful argument is moot; you can infuse dupes for free.

If top D2 streamers are regularly exploiting brother vance for cores (which they do live on stream) there is something fundamentally wrong with the system. It also restricts gameplay and player choice, this is so painfully obvious.

8 RepliesI have 0 problems with Cores now........ 1 day Masterwork Cores, became Enhancement Cores. Then about a month later, they became Enhancement Chores. Then a few weeks after BA dropped, they became Uninstallment Cores. Hasn't been a gaming issue since.......

It depends on how much you play. If you are under 10 hours in a week your core income is pretty low. I usually get maybe 4 cores in a week, unless I really just want to farm specifically for core. The problem is it is a matter of the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. It was never a problem to begin with. I don't get why people feel the need to defend the system.

6 RepliesDo I have a problem with them? No. Do a lot of other people have a problem with them and want them out of infusion? Yes. Would it hurt my gameplay experience if they got what they wanted? No. Would it improve their experience? Yes. Therefore, I stand with the people who want cores removed from infusion.

They hardly have any cores because they: 1. Don’t play much, 2. When they do play, they don’t do activities that will actually benefit them, and 3. They infuse things without needing to. I don’t play as addicted-like as I used to, but I’m still maintaining around 100 cores because when I go on, I buy cores and do activities that I know will give me something worth my time. OR I go into the vault and delete things. It’s just a hunch, but this is probably the casual part of the bunch trying to get their way again, and we all know how what happens when they succeed.

Well then you suggest not infusing all of your gambit gear? Or you just don’t get the new gear sets? What about Pvp builds ? Or raid builds Or arc week builds? Surely they will be different than my void builds Or the fact that certain triumphs are geared to collect all weapons from a npc? Bungo ... here is a set of new gear Oh by the way you don’t have enough cores to upgrade the new armor It’s all kind of silly on their part

1 ReplyHad 200 the other day, went down to 135 getting my Warlock to 700 and masterwoking his armour. Now I'm back to 185. I don't get how people run out. But then I see people running the most horribly rolled weapons as masterworks and then it makes sense. They're idiots.

2 RepliesDidn't exploit (wasn't playing). Didn't horde (see masterworked titan and warlock forsaken armors sets). I know how to not infuse every 10 seconds and have an IQ well over 30. Only time I had a problem September - when the transition first happened - learned, experienced, grew, played and enjoyed.
