With Siva being brought up again, the most likely place to see it, I feel, is on Nessus. Previously Rasputin took control over Siva. Nessus is the domain of Failsafe and she is, technically, on the same level of Rasputin. She just doesn't have several bases and a bunch of satellite factories devoted to her.
If Failsafe gained control of the Siva on Nessus, how far can she go? Can she reassemble her original body? Design a new body? Could she even merge herself with the Siva and become a sepf-replicating sentient mass of Siva?

There’s nothing SIVA can’t do, if it’s coded properly. It’s just a matter of a ship bound AI getting ahold of something like that, which is pretty much impossible unless we bring some to her.
-
There is SIVA on Nessus. One of Failsafe’s dialogues references it. I don’t feel like she could access it. Rasputin is highly advanced compared to her. It’s like a microwave compared to a toaster. She wouldn’t be able to control it. Failsafe would kind of get ‘corrupted’. As for the Vex...

3 RepliesI might be going crazy, but I swear that the Siva ghost projection goes orange-red on certain planets and blue on others. I've seen it red on Nessus, Earth, and the Tangled shore, and blue everywhere else, though I could be wrong.

5 RepliesSiva will be brought back when the moon gets added.

Edited by CresterOts: 4/15/2019 10:13:03 AMPrior to shenanigans.....SIVA was originally supposed to be part of Nessus story line. The Exodus Black Strike was supposed to deal with this. Which is why it feels so out of place and awkward. Failsafe is also not close to Rasputins level. Some SIVA Splicers are still kickin around though. The comic CAYDES SIX briefly shows a SIVA Captain chilling in "Spiders Bar"
-
Failsafe has a cache of SIVA on board and ready to go. However, she can't access it due to it being locked by a password only Captain Jacobson knew.
-
Failsafe is nowhere near Rasputin. Rasputin is the most advanced AI ever created. Failsafe is just a golden age computer AI advanced for sure but it’s like comparing a plane to a spaceship.
-
Failsafe is the equivalent to a Golden Age GPS.
-
Failsafe and Rasputin are nowhere near on the same level, Rasputin controls an interplanetary WARSAT network and he can do some other cool shit like flash freezing entire armies, control frame armies and also control SIVA. Failsafe is just a spaceship AI. And yes there are nods to existence of SIVA aboard the Exodus Black in some of Failsafe’s dialogue lines.

Time for me to kill another talking toaster

4 RepliesI thought that the lore mentioned something about Siva being inside of the Exodus Black. Can anyone confirm?
-
1 ReplyI went to Tyra recently and she said "Next time you visit Nessus, ask that Failsafe if there have been any signs of SIVA... I just... Have to know"
-
2 Repliesis she controlled the siva it would be greatly limited by her computing power and directives, the most she would likely be able to build would be buildings or other basic creations, frames would be possible but it is unlikely that she would create one mostly because of her control over every piece of the exodus black and that if she wanted a frame I expect she could have already requested one from the vanguard. and she is in her original body, she is a ships ai and is therefore built into the ship

7 RepliesIs fail safe actually on the level of Rasputin? To my knowledge Rasputin was created like he is. And failsafe was originally just really good AI, but the isolation on Nessus actually made her sentient(similar to Eden in fallout 3) Am I wrong?
-
3 RepliesOriginal body? She is in her original body. It would actually make sense for Failsafe to have access to SIVA, since she is a part of a Golden Age ship
-
I think I read somewhere that originally Nessus was designed to be siva-fied, that was before they put siva in d1 with lords of iron. I can imagine the storyline to have been very similiar to what they planned on nessus. If they decide to put siva in d2 1. it will outrage many people which noone should concern themselves with, but the devs 2. it may be unpredictable, I assume they've rewritten all the lore that would have indicated siva being on nessus and therefore new lore has to be created.

5 RepliesLove Failsafe, best wish for the Raid
-
2 Replies“Captain, I would like to inform you that I found something.” “It’s uhh, like, all red and black and stuff”
-
5 RepliesSeems someone else thought the same as me against your claim that Failsafe is equal to Raspitin. Consider the fact that Rasputin killed Vex right in front of us by playing music. Failsafe watched helplessly as her crew were either killed or transformed by the Vex.
-
Failsafe was just an AI of the golden age. Responsible for a crew and ship. Rasputin is a golden age galactic defense network comprised of warsats positioned all all over the galaxy. These things are not on the same level. But they are both old af

Edited by Doctor_Roidberg: 4/14/2019 9:26:28 AMFailsafe could not control SIVA. But SIVA could control Failsafe...
Goth Failsafe. The real best girl of Destiny 2
I would love to see Siva in D2.The Devil splicers in D1 looked cooler than normal Fallen(doesn't have to be Fallen again Siva infused Vex could be interesting) but i would prefer it to be a normal expansion with a story campaign,1 or 2 new strikes and a new patrol zone like Warmind and Curse of Osiris instead of an Annual pass dlc.
-
A fragment of Rasputin (Not his mind core) issued an automated response to an intruder. Failsafe is not on the same level as Rasputin whatsoever, but all dormant SIVA needs is a directive. Failsafe would probably be like EDI from Mass Effect, where she'd take control of a body, make some improvements, and could now travel places using that body while her Mind Core remains on Nessus.
-
Some early concept art showed off siva on nessus with the exodus black
-
2 RepliesWould definitely be interesting to see what would happen. I feel like we’re gonna get a little siva in D2

1 ReplyHmm. Interesting. Kinda hard to say what that nutty AI would do with something like SIVA.
